Poets Playground

Poets' Playground We can hide from life with umbrellas of daisies. Walk in forests pretending we are cute as squirrels. But, alas we live in a real world. You know~ the one we fly above? Where life is all about turtledoves? And yes, alas eternal love. Reality smacks us in the face! We hide from it, as if it were a disgrace. Fearful to pen the truth about life. We,like pre-school children, with shinned knees, and running noses fying kites and kissing our muses? We don't cry when our dolls do break. We do wail when loved ones turn our carriages shake, Best way to get attention here, is for you to feign illness. Aha, that magic trick children love to play! Then come back well..,beware the poet turned health-snake. 10/29//2019

Much food for thought here, my dear friend... Here are my thoughts/my gut reaction: Since the great Sages and Philosophers pretty much agree that 'Reality' is what we perceive and how we perceive it--- let's all open our tents to embrace ALL those who pick up poetry pens, from Leftists to Rightists, from Religious to Atheistic. We are all Creations of the Great Creator, and we're each here to fulfill our special mission. All this easier said than done sometimes ~ Unconditional Lover

Your fine uprbring shows in this comment, Gershon, That's not how it works in poetic life or real life. What reality is...is argumentative. See Congress. A place that is a replica of the monks at the Inquistion. We can love one another. Letting others be who they are, takes a transformational soul
