The girl I use to be

To the little girl I used to be, I should have helped you get free . Remember those days we wanted to fall to the ground, and our hearts emotions weren’t aloud to be found. Feeling anything at all made us look weak, Now we’re an adult and now have all sorts of unhealthy emotional accountabilities we must seek. I wish you could have seen that running toward adulthood was going to be we’re all the trauma and pain stood. You acted like you had it all figured out, In reality, over a decade later you had know clue what any of it was about. You had the brightest light that shinned upon you, so beautiful, Naïve and innocent and you knew it too. I’m so sorry I rushed you, and made you think you had to carry to much , as you kept quite about the uncomfortable touch. You took all the bad and consumed it, so they didn’t have to; but let’s be honest as time went on it’s wrecked you. I’m sorry to the girl I use to be It’s about time your inner child is set free.

A deeply emotive poem.. we cannot always be young... and sometimes we have to grow up too fast... its all about the right balance.
