There was an old Santa from Limerick
Who became so odd as a maverick
He drove all his reindeer insane
When they showered him with methane
And lived the rest of his life choleric.
He was nominated Santa once more
When the weatherman forecast rain to pour
But his reindeer had all passed on
Tender and rare the steak all gone
When having shacked up with the local whore.

At first it appeared nothing was wrong,
But then one cartridge could be seen on the floor
Then more bullets were found scattered nearby
A horde of bullets in a wooden box shacked to the floor.
Through the door you could see a wizened foot,
A body beneath a dirty bloody bullet riddled blanket in the other room.
It was easy to elicit that this was a murder scene, brutal and stark!
Undeniably mordacious was the sign on the wall:
Welcome to 'Home Sweet Home'.
To loiter any longer at the scene was dangerous for me.
Perhaps the killer was hiding nearby?
Perhaps someone would see me there at the scene of the crime?
Perhaps I would be accused of the crime, if I reported it?
So I quickly looked to see if I had left any trace of me at the scene.
I looked around to see if any one was watching.
The 'coast was clear' and so I quietly and hastily got the hell out of there.
A trifle risky to flee the crime scene,
But it's done and dusted, my fate is sealed, I hope that my flight begets no regrets.

A man behind bars,
Committed for a crime he did not do,
The wife on the outside,
Thinking this could not be true,
Evidence says otherwise,
Frame could it be,
Being wrongly convicted,
Accused and deceived,
Does she stay with him,
Or pray he gets free,
Does she become scaired,
Paranoid or misbelieved,
He thinks behind bars,
Of who could set him up,
A wife of unknowing knowledge,
Or his friends,
Who are in need,
Released on his own recognance,
But still feeling guilty,
A mind plays so many games,
Even if it's unsacred,
Following his wife,
An investigator for crime,
To find shes shacked up,
With another man on the side,
He was behind bars,
For a crime well known,
The love of his life,
Beautiful and always conceided,
Knowing the murder of this man,
Trapped on what to do,
Can't trust his wife no more,
He begins to drink lots of licquor,
Six feet under,
Wife never knowing what happened,
Behind bars,
In his mind,
A crime he never committed,
In a world she never be of knowing,
She shed fake tears,
Not knowing he new what she done,
She will never know,
But behind bars for a crime,
That he wasn't the one,
And she was just never done....

I could write of the anger or pain inside,
But I don't feel like paying attention to it this time,
The struggles are real, but so is the love,
And it's always the love that rises above,
Bye, bye, pain, I don't mean to be rude,
I don't live to stay here shacked up with you,
I'll feel you in the moment to understand why,
Because there's always a lesson to see that will open my eyes,
The tears will fall, and the swelling will go down,
I might end up venturing back because there's more to be found,
But all it is, is a moment, and can't compare to the love,
My love is stronger, my God is enough,
I will forget you, pain, my eyes will change,
There is more love to give, get out of my way!!!!

I never planned on letting you back into my life
but last night
after I drank enough black label
to float my scars
and let my eyes swim
back into delusion
you kicked in the door to my apartment
with your new boyfriend
that tweaker you shacked up with
when I left you
I don't know what you two were looking for
but you found me with my roommate
playing Russian roulette with a saw
with a diamond tipped chain
and just enough gas to crank
He was about to put it to my neck
and pull the chord when the door
flew off the hinges
I heard you scream
and I smiled
Thankful that I could
scare someone else
as much as I scare
myself

I have been at a loss for cumbersome syllables
And dislocated octaves,
Which tumble in lazy metaphors from lips
Smeared with cheap makeup in declarative shades
Of fire engine spectacles, muddy rouge,
Polluted sunset pink,
To mask a cadaver's stitches, preventing
My Heart's restless peaks from bursting forth
Into senselessness.
Where have cognitive examinations flown
Off to, cradling air with hollow bones-
With the flowers, or the cowboys.
Lucidity snatches at April's
Lionlamb air;
I catch falling words on your tongue, like
Raindrops.
Strip my world, proverbial paint thinner
Peeling pseudo-realistic wallpaper
In sunburn fakes,
Of all falsities I've shacked my wrists with.
Paint over my
Red crayon scrawled morale
With You.

My heart sinks when someone insults me.
It seems nice when someone flirts me
But sometimes when dirty hands touched me,
Not my body also my soul shacked me.
Thousands live quietly why it reactioned me.

Permissive Path by Rob Barratt
A permissive path who slept around
Made her bed with common ground
She was quickly impregnated
And subsequently cultivated
She produced a crop of baby corn
But now she’s shacked up …. With a lawn
One day she’ll hit a rocky patch
She’ll go to seed soon, just you watch
Her secret truth will be revealed
Of how she loved to play the field
I guess she knew what “lost the plot” meant
In her failed affair with an allotment
Nobody could ever make her
Settle down with half an acre
It’s she who is the little flirt
It’s me who likes to dish the dirt

Counting down the days
As life itself flashes so vividly right before me
I become more committed to reasons which I am destine
There lies a feeling I’ve longed for quite sometime
awaiting to surface deep in the crevasses of my soul is
Every emotion I have ever encountered
My stomach is shacked by butterflies that clutter within
As I approach what was abandoned
A fool I was to leave behind precious moments that were rightfully mine
There she stood different from what I had pictured but yet the same
I remain paused by deep breaths of courage which fills my lungs
Impatient to love again, Impatient to hold her, like I use to
For without patients I wouldn’t have known impatient

Yesterday,
When I were coming back,
From local library,
A bell was ringing,
In a church, on a street.
Few minutes were left,
A prayer was in action.
The old ladies were mentioning,
They had a cold morning,
And checking the heating system.
When a lady hand shacked me,
She was delighted to met my warm hands,
The father had a payer for peace,
Asian Earthquake, Human rights agencies,
And all for sick and needy persons,
Father was blessing and serving,
A piece of breed as a body of Christ,
Red Wine as blood of Christ.
Everyone tastes from one vessel.
I was delighted to see all.
When my turn came,
Father stopped his service,
And asked me, Are you Christian?
I said, No,
He normally blessed me.
He didn’t involve me to share.
To eat a body of Christ
Or to suck his blood,
I was thinking about almighty God,
That is belief, God is one,
And we all are brothers and sisters,
But I was thinking about that distinction.
A saw of a shadow of my untouchability.
