Senselessly Poems

Premium MemberDALE

Dear brother, killed by a drunken driver senselessly:
A man of intellect and integrity was he.
Loved by many, he was our family’s pride.
Ever in our memories does dear Dale abide.

Something old, something blue,
Aged not old, a odd pairing,
which unfits the mold.
Taste acquiring,
pungent smell,
putrid looks,
uninspiring.
It is the dare that begs one to love it.
One good sense of five ain't too bad,
When you hold your nose,
close your eyes
and taste it,
breathlessly,
senselessly,
there's the rub.

Premium MemberThieves of the Heart

One takes what does not belong
In depths of darkness, moonlight night
Daylight's ruins, breathless soul it feeds
Our demeanor broken beneath the flesh
Heart broken, emotion of evil devour
Hurt tortures as if death appeared
Stolen, denied life's promised ambition
They rove, benign behind the face
Thieves of the heart, robbed life's expectations

Our soul torn, prod like a dead animal
Killed senselessly, even words cut a rip
To satisfy their own needs, thieves of the heart
At the hands of greed, selfishness of desire
Like a ghostly wind, a whisk and gone
What is it we believe, life or death we follow
Graves dug everyday, even ourselves a wall
No man kill the bee, they just want the honey

In us we live without remorse to consequences
Always taken granted, we destroy all we live
Human sacrifice or Earth's expense the price
Thieves of the heart, denial to God's creation
Mortality of mankind questioned morals
Or their own doing to devastation of death
Two thieves hung but only one went to heaven
Be it choice, what life you lead to another
That you even steal from yourself lifeless soul
But another, you make them a thief of the heart

Stormy Seas

Serene sunset, star studded sky, seamen setting sail,
Sixteen salty sailors, surveying southern seas,
Singing somewhat spicily, saucy sea shanties.
    Sea sirens serenading, seductively sedates,
Sailors sleeping senselessly, soon sacrifice shipmates.
Shipwrecked sailors swimming, seeking sandy shores.
Spiral sea shells strident sounds, staccato semaphores.
Steering south, steel steamships, start searching stormy seas,
    Searchlights, sirens, struggling, serendipity succeeds.
Soul - searching self survivors, salute salvation's sanctuary.

Senselessly Seeking

Insatiable shadows
senselessly seeking
spiritual sainthood.
Stealing……….
shiny symbols
staged senses
swaggering sanities.
Insurmountable sorrow.

Premium MemberWhisper to the night to enfold me

Whisper to the night to enfold me,
For I no longer have your embrace.
I will wander, lost in the moon's caress,
Always yearning for your charm.
Whisper to the night to enfold me,
As the months pass senselessly.
Until the moonlight, cold and blue,
Brings me back to you, I will forget ... endlessly.
Whisper to the night to enfold me,
For I no longer swim in your eyes.
Instead, I gaze into the void,
Counting countless "why's".
Whisper to the night to enfold me,
Until Apollo's light fades away.
For until the stars are not mine, but OURS,
I will forget ... every day.
Whisper to the night to enfold me,
For I no longer have the will to command.
As I feared, I have become a ghost,
With no tears to shed, only sand.
Whisper to the night to enfold me,
For I have no more words to say.
Let justice take its course,
As I turn to dust and forget ...
Until I am swept away by the wind, far away.

Premium MemberFather Christ Shares Our Grief

Couldn’t past the 1st sentence in today’s Gospel
Describes Father Christ in deep mourning
His cousin
His herald
His friend is dead
Brutally and senselessly murdered

Father Christ wants to be alone
He needs to be alone
He withdraws

Grieving is one of the most important thing we do in life
Loving relationships we form in our lives
Are one of the greatest thing we experience

When a loved one dies
Emptiness can seem too great to bear
Ay need to withdraw
Even reach out others for help

Someone says grieving means” relearning the world”
Relearning to live without this cherished Person
Physically present in our life
It is comforting to know that Father Christ
Shared in our human grief

Loving Father Christ
When I am mourning the loss of loved one
Please let me hear You say
“Lean on me
I understand”
Remember
Your grieving is the other side of your loving”

Premium MemberLove on the Dark Side

You senselessly hurt me,
Then, demand I do not cry.

You frustrate me,
Then, unsympathetically, punish my display of anger.

You ridicule me,
Then, taunt me when I strive to win your approval.

You swear long-standing tribal love and protection,
Then, crush my small, unprotected heart with indifference.

You set impossible goals,
     Then, painstakingly dismantle my ego.

You demonstrate blatant distain,
Then, draw me inside your dark, secret circle.

You demand the obscene use of my disempowered sheath,
Then, discard the confused Soul indwelling.

Who taught you how to love on the Dark Side?

Were you not once also a child,
Alone, and frightened in the whispering darkness?

Did you not once also smile, laugh and sing?

Who taught you to hide your innocence,
In the filmy guise of unrequited bravery?

A young female child cries hauntingly,
In the background of my dreams.

If children learn what they live,
Who taught you to love on the Dark Side?

Premium MemberThe Why Of It All

I have almost everything I've ever wanted
I have been granted answers to almost every dream
The only things I don't have are pretty much the unreachable
The unattainable

The totally impossible

Like loved ones not being dead
Like being able to go back in time
& apologise to those I have  hurt
senselessly or deliberately, so very long ago.

Pointless, useless wants

So I've tried to turn my grief
Into emulating the strengths of those I miss.
The qualities that make me miss them the most
I've used my shame of past indiscretions

The needless pain

Given to innocent by-standers
As I raged past them on my thorny path
Damaging the sweet perfumed flowers
that should have slowed me down

If only I'd stopped to smell them

My shame and sorrow are the rocks I used
to build a bridge
a bridge to reach others in need
Hoping to ease their way through

Help clear their path

Seeing myself in them
and understanding the "why" of it all.
Because that is the biggest question of our whole life.

Sun spurting senselessly.
Pull pulleying plaintively.
Really ridiculous roundhouse rhymes,
Each eating enough of its environs.
And don't get me started on the in-laws.
Dine ahh near the shore, dizzying mental roadblocks,
Ignite the immanence of the instant!
Never nullify the negations, the now and then.
Go for the gold, you beautiful bastard.

Here we are under shade.
Are you more or less happy then before?
People love to let it go and take a break.
In this there is peace.
Nine.
Eight.
Seven.
Six.

Premium MemberSilent Pain, Screaming

Its enough for a crystal stream,
To be troubled by an ape-team;
Though it's truth of existence, friend,
How could I smoothly comprehend...?

It was pandemic; I accept;
Anyone, like fall-leaves, death swept;
When you my gem, from me, were snatched,
I couldn't, from pain, be detached...!

Loneliness in hospice you felt,
In delirium I did melt;
Kith and kin now, O! Never more!
Don’t souls, always, all alone soar...?

The linen you loved most, I brought,
Why these grim gowns become your lot?
No rite; no ritual; none mourned;
As untouchables, all stood scorned...!

What was your funeral, O! No!
Buried just like a dove or crow!
I stood, as though, by unknown robbed,
Senses turned senselessly knobbed…!

I couldn't bid you my good-bye,
Won't I, with this ache of soul, die?
Ember of hope, is alive, yet,
That I'd repay you my each debt...!

Bare of Foot

Our world is but a pane of glass
And I have seen the Grim Reaper
Lift a wearied hand with a stone --
With little restraint to keep her.

For in a dream she showed herself,
Boring her terrible eyes in me,
While neither young nor old, or plain
Or handsome did she choose to be,

But bare of foot and draped in gloom
We stood looking across a road,
I noticing how she was swathed
In the black of night where she strode.

A seamless gown, the same fabric
Crossed atop her head like the sight
One would see the Virgin Mary
Sport beneath a starry crown's light.

But her eyes, her eyes, frightened me
    As they locked on mine with intent;
As she started coming my way
With all that she could represent . . .

So, I'll reiterate, our world's
As fragile as our very life,
Where many vandals are at play
With fire and stones of brass at strife

To kill senselessly without thought
And deny we have soul and choice
To save others 'fore it's too late
And a scream becomes every voice.

U and I

you and I are intertwined in spirit
a strong bond that can't be split
the taste of sweet wine

We are our own guardian angels
the little gods and gold
rewriting a long lasting love story

Since September sixteen sweetheart
some situation seem so strange
sentiments sinking senselessly
strong sabotage is a sign of selfishness
only a cigarette renders some sort of relief.

I am dimming my lights
I might shine brighter there
I will find comfort out of your bad energy
but for now, I need a glass of Hennessy
Bartender, do not waste your empathy on a dying thing

Three years after what I thought was genuine love
here I am, a leaking vessel
it's the end of the sad chapter
and the beginning of a new verse

Water Borne Diseases

Water-borne diseases
Man senselessly increases
With his trembling “No”
To drinks he doesn’t know
Instead of “The firmest”
That portrays “The Dead Earnest”

Water-borne diseases
One hopelessly increases
By not taking The Certified Pure
Or with a bow declining The Impure
Between tap water adjudged pure
And liquor blissfully a lure.

Isn’t affordable to the poor
Bottled water for official tour?
Then, one always pick one up after manicure
Beating the vulgarity of A Moor
And keep declaring for The Pure
For even elixirs that cough cure …

For their not-one-not-two numbing releases
Trifle not with water-borne diseases.

Freedom

With its own refreshing taste…
Any life from it severed, an unarguable waste,
Now seemingly abstract, soon fiercely concrete:
A pair of good shoes for all feet!

Before me solidly sketches a wing,
The palpable symbol of this inalienable thing
That one from Africa can lift
To places farther by the widest shift.

From one freedom is promptly taken away
After senselessly toying with The Law:
Persons by inviting offences led astray
And now to head for some prison door.

Freedom’s foremost friend is the loosest Tongue
Always graphically able to portray a scandal:
A sponsorship of exhaled air from the lungs,
Neatly picturing the scandals of Vandal…
Freedom’s forever sworn enemy is a curfew
Maximum scanty prisons imitating Nephew.
