America is divided between lovers and haters;
Those that love her and those that hate Trump.
But the thing about both love and hate
Is it often says more about the one doing it
Than the one receiving it.

Trump gets called a racist, sexist, anti-Semite
While having a long history of close and supportive
Personal and profession relationships
With people who are minorities, women and Jews,
Which is more than many of his detractors can claim.

It’s a classic example of projection
And when you call it out
Then you see exactly what gaslighting is
The flaming gases
Just pouring from the mouths of hell.

But hell is always only half the equation.
What the world needs now
To counter the fear that spawns the hate
Is love sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone…

they shoot horses too

They shoot horses too
The US president tells Israel not to enter Gaza
Israel enters anyway, which tells us the might
of the Jewish lobby trumps everything, leaving
the US, looking weak
The students, who are not, yet, corrupted
protest against Israel, arrested and jailed and
worst college teacher spies on the students
report to the CIA.
When the whole of the Western world is unable
to stop the genocide in Gaza, one can be tempted
to throw in the towel and befriend the devil
and do as the three monkeys
I can go on and protest forever, which is good
for my consciousness and be used to be called
an anti-Semite, taking this into consideration
anti-Semite might turn out to be a compliment

the fable of Jesus

The Fable of Jesus
Jesus was skeptical of his tribe, he didn't
whether he was a Semite, his father, the renowned
the wood craftsman had green eyes and knew
a few phrases of gallic monks had visited until
the Rome administration banned them
Jesus, to please his father, built a bookshelf, it was
It was so bad his younger brother had to take over
Jesus took umbrage and moved to Jerusalem, where
he hung out with radicals of his time
he was good at talking and soon became their leader
there are a few girls in Jesus's fellowship
one of them was Magdalene who had the hots
for Jesus, tall and elegant back in his youth
Jesus became famous when he threw moneylenders
out of the church, many more people joined his flock
He thought he was powerful and took on
the Rome colonial administration and arrested
they mocked him and gave him a crown of thistles
egged on Haiku

y the hateful priests, was crucified
During the night, women got him down from
the cross, hid him in a cave till his wounds healed
A fisherman called Peter smuggled him and
Magdalene to France
they had seven children, and he ended his days
as respected goldsmith

Late, controversial American chess grandmaster, Bobby Fischer
Became an anti-semite, fugitive, hermit; career fell into a fissure

Legendary enigma with predominant wins as a chess wunderkind,
But his greatest battle was with his discombobulated mind.

What's Wrong With Nationalism

I
Don't groan, I avoid hating -
Nazi Germany used 'National Socialist'
To give the lie to nationalism
And to God of all ethnoi, Jew and Gentile
But moans & groans turn to labeling
(Thinkers as Anti-Semite, even if Semitic)
Or friends of all nations, Jew & Gentile

II
You see what wrong?
I can only agree with givernments -
Or get called names, da#nn any brains:
I will be ostracized
Cast both as Nazi and Anti semite
If I say the government of Israel
Ought to have used, Judea or Judah!
The Samaritan's are still here (Nablus,
In the occupied West Bank, old Neapolis)
But Israelis rarely accept them as Jews
John chapter 4 is alive. So is Shechem!

III
When you have been a victim, or hurt
You will fly a flag higher than the cross
The cross and temple must raise flags
Must raise money, help solve problems-
But the 'church' today has no state
Or equal rights with the Flag
That's why nationalism is an ISM:
Ask Vlad Putin and the heores of USSR

Premium MemberToday Fell Prey To History

Today's a Jewish Holiday
  that fell prey to history
'Cos unless you live in Israel, the Jewish Nation
You miss out on spectacular celebrations...

In Ancient Persia 'twas an evil man
The Emperor* put a ring on his hand
And said, Do with the Jews as you would
If you say so, they're no good

Mordechai the Jew won't bow down to you?
Then kill them all, women and children too
So wicked Haman wrote a contract on their lives
Copies sent to 127 nations -- they all arrived

How the decree was averted is an amazing story
Yet history texts all ignore its glory...
I suppose the authors are one and the same
As those who extol Bogdan Khmelnytsky's name**

_________________________________________________
* The Persian Emperor's name was Xerxes 1, aka 'Ahasuerus'

**Starting in 1648, the Cossack Khmelnytsky led forces that
murdered nearly 50% of Europe's Jews, a greater percentage
than Adolf Hitler murdered during WW2. By all accounts, Mr.
Khmelnytsky was a vicious anti-Semite, hell-bent on genocide.

~ Tears on My Star of David ~

When a Jew is killed or attacked, I don't turn my hapless back.
I take it as an attack on me, and all of humanity.

New York, becoming the new killing fields to do Jews in.
With De Blasio and Cuomo doing totally nothing, quite a sin!
To stop Jew killing or slashing this Hanukkah night!

The Star of David I wear, is my reminder of the affinity I share.
Yes, my Jewish brothers and sisters, I do more than deeply care.

Love, Panagiota

Poem inspired by the hideous attack tonight with a machete by an anti-Semite
on a Rabbi, family and friends celelebrating Hannukah.

Premium MemberThe Tree of Life

An anti-Semite pruned the tree of life,
cutting branches with a sickle of hate.
He unleashed hell's fury in God's temple,
killing Jews, he swore to eradicate.

The faithful fell in a hail of bullets,
as a synagogue in agony; cried.
For as a raging madman kept firing,
Jewish friends and family members died.

Shepherds of this tight-knit community
were sacrificial lambs, culled from their flock.
And the slaughter of the feeble and meek,
sent the whole civilized world into shock.

A split nation's a breeding ground for hate,
political ire burns over the years.
And you cannot douse a forest fire,
with sob filled vigils of a trillion tears.

Empathetic feelings call for action,
but when given choices, folks choose their gun.
And thus, more innocent victims will die,
for this massacre won't be the last one.
