Tears On My Star of David

~ Tears on My Star of David ~

When a Jew is killed or attacked, I don't turn my hapless back.
I take it as an attack on me, and all of humanity.

New York, becoming the new killing fields to do Jews in.
With De Blasio and Cuomo doing totally nothing, quite a sin!
To stop Jew killing or slashing this Hanukkah night!

The Star of David I wear, is my reminder of the affinity I share.
Yes, my Jewish brothers and sisters, I do more than deeply care.

Love, Panagiota

Hi Pannagiota, We put CNN news as soon as I read your poem. Horrified and disgusted by these cowardly acts. I cannot begin to imagine the grief and pain that relatives and friend s have gone through - what a sick world we have become! Well penned my friend. Blessings, Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer! One person got stabbed in the head 6 times with a machete. I cannot imagine the nightmares and sadness that ensues. When humans have evil in their hearts, evil acts follow. Be it by machete, gun, knife, running over people with cars, beheading them, burning or drowning them! The news channels spread more negativity and damage our world view. This event I happened across on FOX first. CNN was covering movies! Worse,CNN referred to the killer as a VICTIM?? I can't repeat the words I was shouting. As I stated in another comment below, let us not condemn all of humanity.God is still God and there to comfort us. Love, Panagiota

Panagiota, This is a sad but poignant message in your poem. And sad sign of the times. But your message of solidarity brings a ray of hope. Is it possible that all people of faith are under attack? I stand united for people of all faiths that honor peace and tolerance. -Richard

This was a tragic happening in a string of attacks. I think there is animosity amongst faiths. I don't know how they can be peaceful, when one has the stated purpose of killing anyone not them. It's very frightening and the attacks are frequent, deadly and ominous with no end in sight! Panagiota. Thank you, Panagiota

Thanks for the love, Panagiota, over the 10th recent anti -Jew attack in NYC. Appreciate your support... Seems to me that we need a Meir Kahane for our times: "Every Jew a 22!" It worked well in NYC back in the '70's when things got out of hand. Those thugs thought twice before messing with us. We'll see... Thanks, again, gw

Kahane was right! You know my stance on Jews, well-))) I am tired of seeing this here and in Israel.BDS in our Congress is pure anti Semitism. May as well move Hamas here. People don't know Mein Kampf is a popular text used in the Middle East or that Jews are considered pigs and their deaths are celebrated, Sorry for what happened in Monsey and all over NY. Love Panagiota x

I had no idea about this attack, this affects us all. It is horrible! I am saddened by it. Glad you wrote this one. It enlightened me. Hate is a horrible thing, no matter who it affects.

Caren..I turned on the news shortly after it happened. It is sad. One victim got stabbed in the head 6 times with a machete. No person should be, hit, sworn at spit at or killed because of religious or political beliefs. We can do something. Step one. Stop evil speech. Watch what we say. Advocate for freedom. But when evil shows up, call it by its name. If we don't, we might be next. In our current PC insane culture, we are forced to accept wrong as right. Panagiota

I just searched for this, i did not know there was a rise of anti semetic attacks in NY.. how sad and horrific, no one should be harmed because of their belief, religion or background... what surprises me is why are these people not called terrorists? Because it is terror they are causing for hatred towards religion... sad world my friend..

Hi, Silent. One wonders why attacks on other groups are headline news. But attacks on Jews? People should know what Ellie Weisel said, after the Holocaust. NEVER FORGET.It could happen again. Group in question has to be labeled a Terrorist Organization.the perpetrating group plays victims. Their ilk has infected Germany, France, the Uk.Same crazy roots that blow up airlines. We must be proactive. Will post a poem about how, later. Panagiota xx

My Dear Tom, God gave us free will to choose. Some people seem to choose evil over good. We forget all the wars since time began. In Europe and now here, stabbings, running over people with cars has a root. Unless we wake up, the destruction of law as we know it will be gone. In the USA, some want less law and to be understanding of killers. Not me. Remember the billions of good souls at times like this. We have to work on this. Panagiota xx
