Brave Little Crab

Find me basking
In the moon
While I nurture my little ones
In our sheltered lagoon

I may seem hard on the outside
But please don’t mis-take
My shell is just a shield
For my inside, soft as cake

Yeah, I walk with a barrier
But believe me, I’m not dense
For one to know my true beauty
Must speak politely to commence

Romantically mysterious
Keen to tradition
Let me shine how much you’re valued
And illuminate intuition

Sentiment glows bright
In my crustacean eyes
If you’re close to my heart
I will hold you with ties

In cancerian claws you are safe
From the dangerous road that life paves
Etched in my heart you can see
“Defender of Love” engraved
Let me show you my stuff
In the land of the free, and home of the brave

Dentalphobia

A room, so white, so clean
Smell of medicines, reek sterile
Prim, serene
Two assistants dressed in whites
Both beside me walk
Last meal, last rites?
Long hall, onward down
My frantic patience
Wearing thin
Soon, arriving at the chair
Will they dare to strap me in?
Unexpected, big smiles, greets
Soothes the mood, fears subside
Then I hear it…
A tiny motor whines
My spine…
Up sends a chill
Then Doctor turns
Clutching drill
Gases, drugs, Novocain
In my frustration, comes too late
Body stiffens with a scream
Darkness ushered in, then I faint

Premium Member Mystery On Mars

It’s hard for me to speculate about something
which portends to be a mystery,
while I already have the answer in hand.
There have already been assertions
and rather than butt heads
in exasperation,
just let me offer this.
Another set of photos,
offered up in evidence, since we
first surmised the sphinx.
They clearly show in three dimension,
the sphinx to be cliffs and crevasses of a mesa.

"The last Episodes of a Vintage slave"

I'm shattered beyond belief, reaching for, an elusive life
that will never consume me, broken with with splitters in my intelligence
I do die, with slow disadvantages, chocking on harsh reflections
that keeps me on a death watch, waiting for the agent of loaded madness...
to execute me in thee (the) open, in incubus style
with hands bound to hell's bedroom of featured view...
now manipulation is but a...
Hypnosis-Inducing Drug away (sodium barbiturate) to filling your boss's
pockets with gold...
you gave a lifetime of scheming performances of which I mostly
saw in the nude...
so when the lights dim from my eyes, will you watch...
and when its your turn and your torch is extinguished
know i will wait for you, in hell...
and i will be ready to sever you all the pain you deserved,,,

The Test Subject(S)

Now hear me human male:
a mouse am I in form;
though this is true, no right had you
to raid my rodent dorm,

Nor take me from that home--
where all my siblings slept.
Alas, my kin now weep within
and wonder why I left!

Such fear you've wrought in me;
my feet, no more at ease,
refuse to move and thus you prove
your theories as you please.

How helpless I must seem--
a puppet poised for stage.
I squirm and cringe to your syringe
within a silver cage.

You thrive much like a god--
whose reign is white, but cruel;
though, rest assured, I don't concur
at all with how you rule.

Where be my freedom now?
Perhaps within some vial--
to lightly churn and likely burn
away before your smile.

I loathe your lucid glare;
its luster pains my breast.
I cruelly hope, despite the scope,
that you are too a test!

'Tis quite a proper wish,
and one I won't regret.
Some day, you'll rue the things you do
and beg for mercy yet!

On this my soul is set.

Faith Forgotten, But Not Lost

In this city's din of urban indifference
                and solitude,
let me hear once again the faintest
          echo of the mute music
      of a heart grateful, generous.

In claustrophobic caves of cold cruelty
          among calloused hearts,
let me glance at the haziest halo
             of a vague affection
from a hand that's caring, giving.

In a self-deifying mob of the stolen
                flame of science
let me feel the soft solace of believing,
              of being believed in,
a faith forgotten, but not lost!
