Like Moses in the desert, I have wandered.
My destination nowhere in my sight.
I’m searching for the joy I have been promised
But hampered by the seeming lack of light.
Like Icarus of old, I am a pris’ner.
I’m chained here to the ground by gravity,
And haunted by the things I can’t accomplish,
The dreams of places I will never be.
Like Samson, I’ve felt utterly defeated.
It’s hard to trust that there’s a higher plan.
I fear giving in to mediocrity.
That where I’ll always be is where I am.
Like Hercules, I’ve had my many labors.
I’ve known my share of failure and success.
So many tests still waiting in my future,
And many miles to go before I rest.
Like everybody else, I have been wounded,
But deep down I am proud of every scar.
For each one tells me I am making progress
Although it seems I haven’t traveled far…
But there’s nothing else to do but move forward, step by step.
So, hand over hand I will climb.
I know it’s true that I may never reach my horizon
But I can leave where I am behind.
All it takes is effort and some time.

But a brush and a touch, one parting more.
Delilah, Moon-girl, you stole my strong light.
I, your Sun-boy, am shorn having blackout,
but remember my close shaves, the honey
and dead days, my foes jaw-struck,
as the long-winded she-ass brays in my ear.
With influence silverish, drowning golden locks,
the egg-eating fish-god wins for a period
till dawn's yellow meets me at the next round.
I shake gold pillars in Dagon's stone temple
where uncut spectators are dying to taunt me
but what do I care for I know you await me,
At noon I burn for you,
at nightfall I sigh for you, O Delilah.

I heard poor old Samson
Singing songs for Delilah
One fruitful afternoon
In a room after gala
Her charming beauty
Made him loudly squeal
Telling secrets so loudly
Like his "Achilles heel"
Poor old Samson
He was played like a stone
Like an old flute, he spoke
His whole silence was broke
For his body was mighty
For he's blessed by the almighty
But his spirit was weak
And he's played like a freak

The thug’s greedy plan was ill-fated.
“Beware of the dog!” the sign stated.
Sharp teeth pierced his butt.
He screamed, “Get off, mutt!”
Desire to steal quickly abated.
For Samson, fame was just beginning.
This brave dog would set the world spinning
with such doughty deeds,
supplying the needs
of many while great kudos winning.
He quickly developed the power
to fly. There exists not ONE tower
inhabited by
trapped ladies who sigh.
Now all the bad guys hide and cower.
This thug-throttling canine has muscle.
He comes out on top in a tussle,
but he’s brilliant too.
To Mensa* he’s new.
Competing with him, humans hustle.
This grand rise to fame was engendered
when Samson so actively hindered
an evil guy's plan.
Now many a fan
admires him for services rendered.

When Orpheus sang on his flute
All Nature listened falling mute
But when Samson sang
It sounded like a bang
That sleeping babies woke up with a jolt

Delilah: Samson! Why do you imprison my love in the dungeon of mistrust?
The hypnotism of my succulent breasts, and the soothing soft feel of
my moist lips, your stolid heart betrays.
You really do have the strength of a God, but even a God is subject to
the mind blowing caresses of a goddess. Prove your love to me by submitting
to just this nagging request, and our much anticipated wedlock which you very
much desire will be certain.
Samson: Your words turn me on as much as the moist feel of your honey gate. How could I
ever resist thee Delilah? Certainly at your behest, I bequeath my awesome and
divine strength.
Delilah: Then rest your troubled head on the comfort of my massaging hands, and see that
there never was nor can ever be, a warm resting place for your wearied head like
these lovely hands of mine designed like a pillow fit for a Prince.

The children of Israel, standing tall
Jericho and conquests beyond the fall
Possessing Canaan, equipped to defend
Tribes of twelve, of which they descend
From Joshua’s death to the Promised Land
False gods worshipped at every command
Returning to evil ways unpleasantly
God promised judges to bring victory
Israelites oppressed, Philistines of power
The appearing of an angel in a timely hour
The bearing of a son, promised to occur
Delivery from Philistines, was told to her
A chance of hope, not rendered forlorn
Unto mother and father Samson was born
A roaring lion of enemy plans
Samson seized the strength of his hands

How far would you go to destroy a life worth living? This is the case of Samson and Delilah, a pair forever stricken. Though Samson fell in love, he quickly knew she was a ****. Delilah clearly wanted his trust, which made it clear to break them up. But, desire was what made Samson give up his rightful duty in the game of love. And, thus became known a story forever to be unfinished. For this case so often happens even now in this minute.

SAMSON 2
Samson killed a thousand men
With the jawbone of an ass
There was no other man alive
In mighty Samson's class
But his strength departed from him
After all was done and said
Because a lady named Delilah
Shaved mighty Samson's head

SAMSON
There was a young man named Samson
Who was strong, rugged and handsome
He had hair curly and long
That made him exceedingly strong
But a haircut was the demise of Samson

I lay there in a daze
watching you sleep
with thoughts racing in my head
as I was trying
to memorize your face.
I just wanted to hold you,
Wishing that I could show you how I feel
for it might be the last chance..
the last day together
one moment I would cherish forever
I know tomorrow
I'll be watching you walk away,
not wanting you to go..
but I must and I have to find the strength somehow,
To kiss your lips goodbye...

Making A Commitment To God
Samson... A judge of Israel
was known to be strong.
Because of his vow to God.
His hair was to grow long.
With the jawbone of an ass...
Thousands of Philistines were killed.
To get the secret of his strength,
is what they had willed.
They sent Delilah to tempt him
with her charm and beauty.
Samson revealed his secret to her.
Growing exhausted & weary.
Breaking the promise of God...
He lost his strength and eyesight.
Till the day he rested his hand on
the Philistine' temple so tight.
He asked God to give him
strength once again.
Then pushed the pillars.
Killing thousands with him.
For all of his accomplishments
he had made.
He broke his promise to God.
When his secret he gave…
Make sure your commitment
to God is true and real.
So you don't end up,
like Samson of Israel!

Yesterday with its yearnings and sorrow
With shadows and sunbeams at length;
Have gone where the fears of tomorrow
Took a man whose conceit was his strength.
His transient raptures brought shame
From the temptress that ravished his soul;
Taking strength and tarnished his name
From the power he had that she stole.
Sleep on in the arms that still hold you
Let your eyes not shed all their tears;
For the hand that caressed has now sold you
To the sad treachery of defiant shears.
The Philistine put out his eyes
He was bound in fetters and chains;
The darkness that brought him captivity
Took the blood that flowed in his veins.
For the ransom of a corrupt Aphrodite
When strength was extinguished by desire;
The pillars are destroyed by the mighty
While his glory has perished in fire.
