The Truth

Is it so hard to accept the truth
When history shows the proof;
When reality doesn’t miss
Defeating the thickest mist?

When the facts destroy the lies
Does one close their ears & eyes?
Does it come as a surprise
When the truth outweighs the lies?
Does one run or do they hide?
Try to justify those lies?
Try to bury history woes
In the hope that no one knows?

Is it so hard to accept the truth
When history shows the proof?
Like the sun that shines bright
Defeating the darkest night;
Like the vastness of the sea
Truth will always be;
Forever one can see
Throughout eternity.

Is it so hard to accept the truth
When history shows the proof?

Winter

Ah, winter.
The snowy fields;
The slippery streets;
The frosty coldness
On ones feet.
The icy feel
That gives you chills
While walking up those
Winter hills.
The Christmas lights
That shines so bright;
To children having
Snowball fights.
From a fireplace enjoying wine;
To a family dinner at Christmas time.
And while you had your joyful fill;
You just received the electric bill.
From mortgage payments and all that stuff;
Income tax, you had enough.
While children dream of Santa Clause;
You dream of money you had lost.
For all those seasons of wine and dine;
Welcome to winter time.

The Night Of Halloween

Walking down a street alone;
You feel a coldness in your bones.

Leaves falling to the ground;
Behind your back a creepy sound.

Crows, owls and scary things;
Make you fear and go insane.

You walk much faster and then you run;
Begging for a rising sun.

Within your sight you can’t believe;
A nightmarish figure from your dreams.

Blood, gore and then the screams;
The Night Of Halloween.

A Visitor

On the back of my paint pallet it lied

Small, black, and petrified,

Not even the size of a penny

And it didn’t seem to mind me any,

But when I gave it a poke

It was like it had awoke,

Because it flew away from me

Forever, and forever, to be free!

Common Ryme

No matter where we live we see the sun
And each night we go to sleep to run.

Each person might have some direction over their day.
But who has totally control over the way?

Whether you're in the southern hemisphere, northern hemisphere,
                                     you may still have to pay?
Some may readily say.

The fee for loving, living and losing too much.
But the reward of hope is much.

Thank You Ryme =p

Thank You Dear For:
Catching My Tears
Taking My Fears
Not Giving Me A Beer
Filling Me With Cheer
Taking Time To Hear,
My Thoughts That Leer
Whispering In My Ear
You Never Jeer
Every Year,
Your Always Near
You Never Call Me *****
And Dont Always Peer
At My Rear
Keeping In Check Your Gear
For Me You Can Steer
Because You Never Veer
And Never Almost Crash Off The Pier
Thank You Dear
For Always Being Here
