Winter

Ah, winter.
The snowy fields;
The slippery streets;
The frosty coldness
On ones feet.
The icy feel
That gives you chills
While walking up those
Winter hills.
The Christmas lights
That shines so bright;
To children having
Snowball fights.
From a fireplace enjoying wine;
To a family dinner at Christmas time.
And while you had your joyful fill;
You just received the electric bill.
From mortgage payments and all that stuff;
Income tax, you had enough.
While children dream of Santa Clause;
You dream of money you had lost.
For all those seasons of wine and dine;
Welcome to winter time.
