Premium MemberDark Princess

My heart,
unable to beat
until I hear the treading,
the treading of your feet.

My Dark Princess,
dark and stunning,
you set my heart free,
down a path and running.

You cause me to smile.
It has been a while, My Love.
Come with me and fly
as though you were a dove.

Your smile is entrancing.
You are my very best friend.
We'll be together forever,
for which there is no end.

Although you are dark...
what I say is right...
You, Dark Princess,
have filled my dark soul with love and light.

You And I

In blue water I'm going down
swept away by the tide all sense left behind
in dark waters I might drown
caught in the current out of my mind
holding my breath and hoping
my love for you will stand the test of time
out of my depth and hanging on
for the day you say you are mine
in over my head how long can I tread
these waters for you
don't know what to do
what's to be done
I'm between the devil and...
deep waters still run

Coasters Stop You From Seeping Into Me, Do I Secretly Want You To?

I cradle you in both hands—
the cup is hotter than the blood in me.
I sip until my tongue blisters,
as if pain is the only proof
that I can still be filled.

The table is a witness—
its pale skin bruises under you.
You leave your halo of tannin,
a brown eclipse widening,
seeping into the grain like rot that knows my name.

I line the coasters in military rows,
little shields of cork and cloth,
but you slip past their defenses—
a siege of warmth,
an invasion I invite.

Soon the whole table will be dark.
Soon my palms will smell of leaves and ash.
But you seep through everything,
and I wonder if love is not the cup,
nor the hand holding it,
but the stain that stays after.

Beneath the Iron Veil

Echoes of the holy grace, for this place,
Endless woe of devolution,
Forever entice, your grace,
The moon is your solution.

Confined in this space, of endless grace,
Under the moonlight, it is illusion,
Illusion of woe, forever retrace,
It is all persuasion, or is it union?

Shadows creep, where darkness breeds,
A symphony of sorrows, never-ending,
Lost souls wander, planting crushed seeds,
A tale, forever transcending.

Premium MemberRunaways

When your heartbeats drum their message of love.
My heart soars like the birds flying above.
As flashing thunder streaks across dark skies,
I will come swiftly, believe not their lies.

If any would stop me, my rage I’ll display.
Nothing or no one will stand in my way.
True love hath no captor, it must be free.
Our hearts and our love are just meant to be.

So, hold on to faith and be not dismayed,
The last card in this game has not been played.
They ceased control because we’re still young,
Meet me out back when you hear the bell rung.

I’ve bought fast horses, we’ll be on the run,
You’ll be real safe, long as I have my gun.

Funeral

She left at the yawn of dawn
Between fog-densed waking hour
And rain-soused grey morning.
Veiled, her image was laced in silhouette.
She stood behind the fog-rain, a dark
Painting, sketched in black crayons of
Languor.
Her breath, one streak of ink
Of a satanic fresco on a dingy subway.
And the breath of the rain was heavy,
Brewed in hauteur -
So was the world between us two,
Lame and proscribed.
She wandered through flighty directions.
Grouches filled her lugubrious lungs,
Blotches on the sludged track, echoing
Her slouch.
She was one mass of trembling grief.
I was one hulk of ruinous pain.
Between us, the funeral of love.
Threnodies held court on the once soft
Yolk of hugs that sensitized an ageing
Romance.
Dawn darkened with the pulse of grief
Rain pelted the senses held by solemn
Consternations, recreating a fruitless
Void of hollow trepidations.
She lurched and sidled towards the
Crag-lined route, towards earth’s drooling
Beck... and I knew the funeral
Was over.

Clear Sky

The Cheshire Cat smiles
Behind the dark velvet sky
Where Fireflies wander

Between the Two

The smell of incense was heavy
And guarded the dingy room well.
Time passed slowly like the stifling breath of Yuletide
They were hiding from — the two lovers of Venice —
A woman with dark, luxuriant hair
And a man with a running nose.
Scent-leaf from Africa
Roasted over the fireplace with a tangible fragrance.
A lone candle burned and crackled,
Its tallow dripping profusely with crusts of romance —
Measuring sounds like the
Palpitations of the hearts of the man
And woman.

Premium MemberA Perfect Moment

Never had I heard
a flutter so clear!
Nor more distinct settle
of midnight wings; soft
gray fans, coming to gentle
fold --

soon to follow his song
 -- the nightingale,
lilting the air!
                 Such a blessed
union, rare!~ Light and
dark shadows tranquilly sharing
often fought over space – for
a perfect moment, seeming to

forgive and harmoniously embrace --

soft, dark winds
go round and round, passionate;
firmly binds
pairing lips on carousel.
hearts flit up and down.

Premium MemberGolden Glow

When I was coal you mined my soul
and treasure there you found:
a heart, stone cold, but solid gold,
was buried underground.

So long I hoped and blindly groped
for rescue by the brave;
from skulking fears and sour tears
that haunted my dark cave.

The sifters left my heart bereft
of airy thoughts and dreams;
in all their toil, neglected soil,
but splashed in barren streams.

The dirtied face of my disgrace
you polished with your sleeve;
your zeal above mere heartfelt love
in silken arms we'll weave.

My luster bright in dawning light
forever shall I owe,
to she who dug beneath my shrug
and found the golden glow.

Premium MemberWedding poem Wedding Vows

May we forever be lovers,
May we forever be friends,
And should we hurt each other,
May we quickly make amends.

May we enjoy our passion,
But never let compassion die,
Thinking in selfless terms as we,
Never emphasising I.

May we forever be soul-mates,
May our love eternally last,
May the food of love sustain us,
May we never have to fast.

May we use each other’s strengths,
When we are feeling weak,
May we both learn to compromise,
And always as one voice speak.

May we never keep dark secrets,
May we never tell each other lies,
May we both work unceasingly,
To ensure our love never dies.

Mindstorms

As i sit and watch the storm,
my mind racing with thoughts and fear,
dark clouds gather overhead.
Darkness only broken by lightning
slashing across the sky,
I sit cowering in my chair,
fear taking hold of my whole body as it starts to rain.
As I watch the rain float gracefully to the ground.
Everything starts to make sense.
The lightning now seems to dance together as it lights up the sky,
the thunder is now a soothing roll.
my fear gradually fading,
i hold my hand out into the rain.
I watch the raindrops fall,
they don’t seem scared,
their whole life they are alone.
They land on my outstretched hand, making their own paths across it,
finding each other,
their whole life destined to be together,
two souls now intertwining,
two hearts beat as one as they roll off together across my palm,
suddenly i don’t seem so scared,
as i sit and watch the storm.

When Love Leaves Home

Once upon a time on the sands she thought she found true love
then one day he went his way what was she dreaming of
now she walks the shoreline alone along the low water mark
searching for seashells on her own from sunrise until dark
at the end of the tunnel there's always a light
a ray of hope in the darkest night
every black cloud has a silver lining
it's in there somewhere bright and shining
one day at the beach she met a man later they were lovers
strange to say he moved away left her for another
now she strolls the shoreline alone all along the high tide mark
searching for seashells on her own from sunup until dark
and when love leaves home what's there to do
surrender to sadness and sing the blues
when love leaves home what's to be done
but live with the madness 'til the pain is gone

Paper Sun

Paper Sun
 I could have dated someone.
 Under the Paper Sun.
 The damage is done.
You live far away past the horizon.
Your hair is black and your eyes are dark.
On the other side of the world, it is too far.
 Your culture is humble.
If I woke up, I could have found you.
So many new places to see.
Pretty lights at night under the city.
 A newway of life.
 Watching the dragons fly.
Keep the fire burning between us.
Keep chasing after the Paper Sun.
 You could appear one day.
 Burning in flames.
 Reaching out to hold me,
 But dreams will fade.
 This will sustain.
 While I'm to blame.
 I missed the calling.
Life is fragile with no belonging.
 You faded into the mist.
With strong emotions carries on the music.
You reached out for my hand,
But you were never there. Only a memory in black
