Setting: A castle garden where a man and woman are talking
Character 1 - Giselle
Character 2 - Robert
Dialogue:
Robert: My dear, you look ravishing today !
Giselle: Thank you darling, do you like it ?
Robert: The colors are perfect for your skin !
Giselle: I thought so also, do you like the material ?
Robert: I do indeed, so delightful and bright !
Giselle: Does the material remind you of anything ?
Robert: Well, now that you mention it, my curtains !
Giselle: Do you think I would make a dress out of curtains ?
Robert: No, of course not, that was silly of me !
Giselle: Do you like how it flows all billowy in the breeze ?
Robert: I do indeed, the inside panel all filmy and soft !
Giselle: Well, darling did you really like your curtains ?
Robert: I do, now hold on a second dear heart !
Giselle: Yes, darling this dress could be made of curtains ?
Robert: And now I see that it is, what a talent you are !
Giselle: Oh thank goodness, I thought you would be angry ?
Robert: So let me get this straight you are wearing my curtains !
Giselle: Exactly, they were too pretty for a window don't you think ?
Robert, I am not quite sure just why
That’s dessert I’m unwilling to try
Although it sounds delicious
And is likely nutritious
Gonna pass on fingorelickin’ pie

H/T to Robert Gorelick's All In Good Taste
While lying in my bed - late last night
I felt this vibe - something's not right
I turned and I twisted - I just couldn't rest
There was something inside me - a pain in my chest
So I got out of my bed - and I went to my sink
I thought it be best - to get me a drink
Then I sat in my chair - and to myself I had said
"I know what it is - it's something I read"
Before I cashed in - I read one last poem
From someone named Robert - I don't really know em
But I was reading his comment - sad news of his wife
She's now up in heaven - after a very long life
When I read they were married - for sixty six years
I just couldn't help - but shed me some tears
So I've written this poem - that I pulled from my heart
For Robert to smile - and for he to take part
So I'm sending my prayers - and I'm sending some love
May she rest in peace - way up high, in heaven....above
(Blessings)
Dedicated to Mr. Robert Hinshaw
7/24/2018
I will stand in the heather,
I will stand in the glen,
I'll defend my Bannockburn,
With horse, pike and men.
As Bruce I command,
As Robert I will die,
But not on this day,
For English souls rise to the sky.
Remove them I will,
Send them o'er the hill,
Past Stirling and Falkirk,
Back to England yet still.
As Scots' we are strong,
Edward be damned wrong,
Tae' think he will be victor,
Today he is gone.
Seton gave me the clue,
Schiltron's stood fast and true,
Horsemen and Bowmen,
Fought as they knew,
That Scotland could prove,
It would rule through and through,
Without English invaders,
Marching on my moor.
Many lie dead,
Both English and Brave Scots',
But Edward is gone,
His army bloodied and lost.
Back to their home,
And leave mine tae' me,
At Bannockburn we stood,
And held Victory.
