Ritalin Poems

Scientific Method

Hypothesis:
     Hurt is
     Whether you want it
     Or not

Experimental Design:
     In whatever a day is
     And while appearing sane
I will work my way through
     One bottle of drugstore scotch
One nickel bag of back alley weed
     One 10-year-old’s scrip of Ritalin

Results:
     Scotch hurts
And I want a dime of weed
And a grown-up’s scrip for Vicodin

Conclusion:
     Hypothesis proven -
          But damn
          I don’t care anymore

Predicament

6/30/21

Listen to this
Getting sick of it
This drink I'm always sippin' it
Does no good to be a chicken s***
Or hypocrite

What a predicament
An outcome is imminent
Nothing infinite

All these increments
It's gone beyond intricate
The spectrum was never equivalent

Another foolish idea they implement
Quickly calling it legitimate
With a signed certificate

So focused on the omnipotent
And whether guilty or innocent
Treating you like an instrument

Don't be insolent
Stay diligent
Work on something significant

Another participant
And new experiment
Leading to life long imprisonment

In abundance or limited
Deliberate or a coincident
Complex or primitive
Sober or off much more than Ritalin
Where are you girl
In this world
Lately, I've been considerate
And interested
In getting intimate

Feeling magnificent
Mind state past militant
As another citizen
It took discipline
The maximum not the minimum
An occasional stop in Michigan

Among all these specimens
Before I'm a skeleton
For my own benefit
And the Benjamin's
Always genuine
Did it off adrenaline

Padded In

I'm defiant like a child that doesn't want the Ritalin
Cause a riot cos I'm wild and end up in the bin again
Maddened in a pad again but this time padded walls within
Halls that spin while crawling in, calling in at 4 again
Knocking on the door and then, talking to the floor again
Making my way to my bed where I would sit and pour a pen

Poor Judgement and a Lost Mind

I've spent my whole damn life isolated on my own,
born to walk alone, it's the only way I've known.
It's like you couldn't do it because it would be to scary,
but I've always done it, toughened up no fairy.

So if people want to think that I have lost the plot,
then I'll play up to it while they smoke the pot,
let it not be forgot that out of the whole lot,
only I stopped the weed and booze, clear head I've got.

But not knowing where I stand is a certain uncertainty,
and now it overcomes as I act unnervingly,
the unknown causes anxiety, I lose composure,
not with everyone just those I was closer.

If it's the madman when I was on the Ritalin that stays in your mind,
whom I wouldn't want to know either, he'd lost his mind,
and it's embarrassing for me to know I lived that story,
then I need to find new people and live the life before me.

SO YOU THINK CHILDREN
ARE OUT OF CONTROL.
NO NEED TO TELL ME
I ALREADY KNOW.
CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN
THEY'RE STARTING TO GROW.
PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY
AND SPIRITUALLY I HOPE.
THEY DON'T NEED RITALIN,
THEY'LL RUN OUT OF GAS.
BEING RAMBUNCTIOUS
GETS OLD PRETTY FAST.
THEY DON'T NEED PSYCHOTIC
OR DESIGNER DRUGS.
NOT ALL KIDS
WANT TO GROW UP TO BE THUGS.
GIVE THEM THE TRUTH,
GIVE THEM DIRECTION.
LET THEM RUN FREE
AND WATCH THE REFLECTION.
THEY DON'T NEED SUPPRESSION,
THEY DON'T WANT TO BE SLAVES.
LET THEM GROW UP
AND PAVE A NEW WAY.
THE WORLD IS CHANGING.
LET IT CHANGE FOR THE BEST.
CONTROL VERSUS FREEDOM
IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL TEST.
SHADOW GOVERNMENTS
ARE BEING EXPOSED.
MIND OVER MATTER
IS SEEKING CONTROL

Premium MemberKids Never Change

Times have changed but kids have not, always pushing against the rule.
Always trying to step over the line, every single day at the school.
It was once “Get to the office. Line up, then put your hands out in the air”.
Or, “You’re getting the paddle kid, now bend over the table or chair.”
And kids calmed down, pulled their socks up, and dared not complain.
Never let the folks know, no tears or sobs, no sign of physical pain.

But then we removed the capital, withdrew the leash, the leash to deter and curb.
Replaced it with Ritalin, medicated Meth, Adderall, and a souped up little herb.
So now the consequence is not a paddle, a belt, or six of the best.
It’s a medicated lobotomy like in “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest”.
Kids didn’t change their inquisitive nature, their desire to question and probe.
Society did, choosing instead, to just drug these young kids’ frontal lobe.

The Three R's

The three R’s of education begin
with reading ‘riting and Ritalin.
Children are labeled mentally ill
because they fidget and won’t sit still.

Normal actions diagnosed to be
the symptoms of ADHD,
so psycho pharmacy can push a pill
to cure psychiatry’s invented ill.

You’re targeted from your infancy
to develop drug dependencies.
And spend your life consuming pills
medicating invented ills.

Drugs are poisons with side effects
that alter mechanisms of intellect
with substances that are known to be
toxic to your brain chemistry.

Minds cannot withstand the strain
of mans assault upon the brain,
and those minds can explode
into psychotic episodes.

You may find yourself in killer mode
from a demon circuit overload,
in a classroom full of dead
and a gun held up to your head.

The machineries of a nation run
on the intellect of its population.
Drug a populations intellect
and it will become derelict.

A population of addicts
living day to day, fix to fix,
dwindling down pill by pill
until that nation’s pulse is still.

Change

Indigos, light workers, empaths are hear
Struggling to change the errors of yesteryear

Power, money, corruption and greed
Will no longer be the motive that leads

The 60's, the freedom, they tried with defiance
The ones in power had them silenced

Like darwins theory of evolution
We are born for the revolution

There is too much pain in the world we've created
The ones who have tried have been banished and sedated

With antidepressants, Ritalin and crack
A lot of the indigos have been held back

This change will come, but take many a year
When it is over, they'll be no more fear

Bicyclotropic

Stirred up mocus adrenaline bubble,
Piling sandbags against this rising tide.
Give me focus, else mouth will find trouble,
Prozac, Ritalin, or yet, a hard ride?

The shrinks call it demon anxiety,
But this mind sees another assignment.
This sacred outpouring of energy,
Pedal smashing Chakra realignment.

Jittery feet to pedals: Clip, clip, roll.
More push/strain/burn, faster the scenery.
Wind howl numbs the ears, wolf howl wakes the soul,
Knots within melt, exultant liberty.

Burst dam, torrid current has flowed away.
Glowing soul raiment for another day.

Modern Issues

They want to be skin and bones with plastic wasters,
They want to be stupid, they want to be famous,
Fake, superficial and contagious,
"She don't want your love,
She wants your money, boy."

Modern royalty want cash in hand,
Ritalin,vicodin, and diazepam,
Valium,lithium, any kind of medication,
Liposuction, collegen,
Round and round we go again.
Plastic Nose, cushion butts, Botox and plastic chest,
You're not quite right, but you tried your best.

Mattel rang, Hey Barbie they want you back in your box,
You're allowed to have 'fun', but not too much.
Media, media, media everyday hysteria,
Disroders coming out your ears; and you think we're inferior?
Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
Open your eyes, blink twice and think,
Your life is perfect, isn't it?

Home

It always rains in my hometown,
The clouds are kind enough to wash what they can away

The town cut out my tongue,
It grew back sharper and quicker than the one they stole.

I walk by the river,
Still blackened by the ones it took,
When thoughts fall upon a deaf ear,
I begin to whisper.

I care little for your Tupperware regime,
I care little for your barbecue tyranny,
One should always give way to real men.

Home, is where the heart is.

The fruit, plentiful,
It decays in the street,
By the grocer, by the police station,
By the school that keeps 'em comin'.

A species of their own, that Ritalin race.

At noon the fog lifts,
At two it sets again,
I do breakfast at four,
It is the most important meal of the day.

Click clack

The mind of a braniac
Riddled with ritalin

Taste that don't waste that
Glass of wine
Escape time
Space out now pace back

Pen never sleeps
Psychoanalyze insomniacs

Click clack

The mind of a scaredy cat
Feared the present so
Regressed to the past

Try closing your eyes...
Reality ripped eye lids

Imagine serenity....
Lonely as an island
And now the sea is rising

The mind of a maniac
Lithium addiction

Constant friction in cognition
Searches in the
Same spots twice since
Sanity has gone missing

Trapped out in space
No mission

Now they stare in the mirror
Confusion illicits fear
Thoughts race
Emotional marathon

One body trembles
Three personalities
Relax

It Smells Like a Pharmacy In Here

It smells like a cardboard box
holding rows of an escape from reality
but who defined reality
was deja vu an afterthought of reality
banished to the rubbish wagon of a society
choking on an assumed reality

Pitter patter goes the rain of pills
pills for everyone
stick out for tongue and catch the rain
what did ya get?
ecstacy ritalin prozac viagra?
they'll all get you high
a ***** or a bender
what'll it be

Love hate
are these emotions?
or pills force fed us by a society
desperate for deviants and pain
phony or real swallow the pill

I think Captain Willard
said it best:
"It smelled like slow death in here"
even worse
its smells like a pharmacy in here
