Lovers in the Moonlight
If only God had made me a bluebird,
It's straight to your nest I would fly.
To feel the warmth of you again,
Never questioning~ why.
Lovers in the moonlight, we.
Perched in a fragrant apple tree.
Watching stars zoom rhapsodically.
While you flutter your eyes at me,romantically.
Oh, the thought of us together!
Doth make my feathers shake and shimmer.
My bird of eternity, soul of my soul,
My eternal love and sole soul's winner.

The Stars Have Had It with Me
Oh, No!
Orion came here last night in a fury!
And wow, he took me to task!
I cannot repeat the words he said to me.
Alas, not even is jest!
But he warned me, in a saturnine
way, to grow rhapsodically!
And to stop using he and stars in the
constellation, so endlessly, poetically.
Oh, inside, I was quite choleric!
I tried in vain to explain, that stars
and even butterflies,
Are the bedrock of many poems.
Alas, not any sympathy was I shown!
At which point,Orion had it with me.
And in a kaleidoscopic mantle,disappeared!
With a shimmering gold dictionary and silvered thesaurus, Orion has left for me.
There...In the moonshine ever so gleaming
Under the arms of a loving evergreen tree.
I will follow Orion's advice
Discover topics truly meaningful~
And put the word "stars" on ice!
Using English words, I hope...
That are truly lovely and purposeful.
