Every day is a page to write a new story
in the book of life.
The filled pages of yesterday can’t be
erased and rewritten.
Today shall pass too and transform in a
new tale.
Fresh pages of tomorrow are waiting to
create new memories.
You are the author for the stories in your
book of life.
Be an inspiration for others leave behind
an everlasting imprint.

Each day a new page in my diary of my life story
My family my heart I devote
Blessings just to wake up amid His glory
We take each day with a new step a new note
Living for the happiness hastily wrote
Tears shed for reasons as they dry in silence
For all the memories that comfort me
To love and be loved blazes as dawn rises
Creating fantasy to become reality
for the future is ever-changing to agree

Response to potpourri
Death, beginning new life in zing,
Twilight of dusk veiled by darkness,
For night's rest after long conquest,
Unfolds into morning sunrise.

Dear man, you are a distant star.
I wish your eyes on me would shine.
Come close to me; a firefly be,
So I might hold you in my palm!

Our wedded bliss is not remiss,
when kindled anew ev'ry day.
With artist's brush in colors lush,
we add hues of life to our love.

Born without any legs, sweet Irene,
a mother and wife, is serene.
By accepting her plight,
She does more than all right,
Saying, “Handicapped? What do you mean?”
“Though I’m legless,” she says, “I’m not bound
to my bed because I get around!
I move quite easily
on a board made for me,
and I push off with hands to the ground.”
“People stare, for they think I’ve been burned
by life,” says Irene, “but I’ve learned
that for what I’ve gone through
a great wisdom grew
inside me, and blessings I’ve earned.”

I chose. . . courage to change the things I can
(actually this poem focuses on the entire Serenity
prayer and not just that one line!)
