Selfish young youth has brightly beamed faces
And beautiful gleaming gold hair as loose lace is,
Like balmy books with pale prefaces
Its intrinsic inceptive and prompt paces,
Soon, sad torrid time replaces
The sunny sparkle with gentler graces
And young youth with those tacit troughed ages.
Bluebonnet Margarine
Blonde girl with pigtails
In a blue checked gingham blouse
And a white pinafore
Showing us how GREAT
It tastes.
And it does spread easier
Than butter.
For Sure!
We are innocent
Easily led.
Still believing in people’s good.
We switch over easily.
Finally forgetting
What real butter used to taste like.
I had some the other day.
Wow!
Suddenly reawakened
And refreshed!
Despising the pigtail girl.
Uh-oh.
I just looked up the ad.
It was the Sunbeam Bread girl.
Scratch this one.
K-iss the rain goodbye,
R-ise of the beacon has begun;
I-t's a beautiful Monday,
S-unday night turns into a new sun.
T-wilight turns into dawn,
E-vening shadows fade away;
L-et nineteenth December brighten the dark and gray.
E-arly morning light
C-omforts your fainted heart;
L-et the rays above the horizon
E-rase the night for a fresh start.
V-iew in the wide sky
I-s painted with blue, pink, and yellow;
A-s you gaze at the lane, joy replaces the sorrow.
N-ight chill is about over,
O-ne beacon warms the cold wind;
R-ise of the sun will begin,
I-nclement weather will
E-nd.
N-ew dawn leaves the dusk
O-n twelfth November light;
N-ever let your life be dark,
A-s the day replaces the
N-ight.
D-ay replaces the night,
I-t breaks after twilight time;
A-n early morn has broken,
N-ew dawn is so sublime.
N-ight is replaced by day,
E-vening is nowhere in view;
J-ust see the sunrise,
O-ne beacon shines for
Y-ou.
M-ay twentieth Saturday
I-s setting things aright;
L-et both your eyes behold,
A-nother day replaces the
N-ight.
You speak to me, I don’t hear a word,
Still, I know that you’re down, you’re sad.
I can tell by the curious look on your face,
That you’d rather stay with me and be glad.
Then that moment you stop, turn slowly, and walk,
Head down, you walk through the door.
And I sit and ponder and think and care,
Alone, on the rug on the floor.
Time becomes nothing as I sit and wait,
Wait patiently to hear shuffling feet,
And when you do finally walk back through the door,
I give you the sloppiest greet.
In that moment my grey, it becomes colour,
Clear happiness replaces the fog,
You’re everything to me, you’re all that I want,
I’m your loyal, your friend, your dog.
A storm is brewing,
clouds are scattered by the harshest wind,
but they flee Eastward to meet the surly, purple sunset;
dark is rapidly growing subduing everything,
even seagulls are worried
about the safety of their tiny chicks huddled in the nest.
When gloominess replaces sunshine,
the evening is a looming shadow vanishing into the woods
resounding with the frightening howls
of wolves and wild dogs caught in the branches that entwine.
Huge balls of hail hit the charcoal terrain,
their force is too powerful and they form small craters,
the lightening strikes and trees fall down;
the forest's paths is an awful sight of broken branches.
It will be around midnight before the enraging Spring storm wanes,
no bird, no wolf or wild dog will be allowed to return;
they barely escaped death by taking refuge in the abandoned barns,
hungry and cold, they hope to greet the new dawn.

His voice was nothing
her hands were empty

When empty replaces nothing
when something is an item ort a feeling
when nothiong becomes something
when empty is fulfilled
you will see all your wishes
and all my desires
and drain those away and replace the questions with answers
For empty replaces Nothing
nothing replaces empty
i was empty now replaced
replaced with something
and something gave me everything
