Always Will Believe

Descending sun vanished some
Wishes to retrieve
Once again too late to state
Sorrow from your leave
Though apologies in the past
Only brought about
Regretfulness, forgetfulness…
Leaving me in doubt.
Through silent nights and tonights
Petty words that rhyme
Guess I should be happy
For undivided time.
Close to God I have become
From your chosen leave
Now I know more than before
Always will believe.
Yet afraid, when you return
We simply will be past
For life it goes so quickly
Here it doesn’t last.
Hence I write to unite
As my love is free
Whilst blowing many kisses
To you across the sea.
Though you're late I do wait
For you to come to me...
Whilst dreaming many wishes
For only us to be.

clear
           his eyes
  have pierced through
      the blinding fog
      of regretfulness;
       no longer blind,
          free of guilt...
           conscience
               clear

Premium Member On the Bridge of Fireflies

[Paraphrase/translation of a ballad sung by Meiko Kaji]

It must have been my seventh or eighth visit
To the Bridge of Fireflies.
With eyes closed, I still see flashes,
Small swirling lights lift upward.

After that, I went to Tokyo
I traded fireflies for neon lights and cheap sake
Soon enough the river that is my heart
Became a deep pool of corruption.

The bridge where I first fell in love,
Where I thought I found love,
If I close my eyes I still see flashes,
Small whirling lights lifting upward.

Together we went to Tokyo
We had only our innocent hearts
I was worn down, moving place to place,
I should regret it, but I don't regret anything.

Regretfulness

strings of my heart pulled tight close to fracture
seduced, captivated thoughts, memories
unable to control hearts contracture
start to examine minds directories,

regrets flowing through souls blocked arteries
underestimated your great power
her loveable virtues abilities
didn't stop my evil need to deflower,

darkness falls yet energises resolve
to prove intentions was benevolent
demonstrate needs for our love to evolve
convince my actions weren't malevolent

now I crave your undying forgiveness
without you, life's pitiful, no richness.

Broken

Falling back into the usual, missing and wanting your arms around me.
Regretfulness i must endure..
