Love Is

"May we see all love mirrored back to us. May it reflect and refract and expand - forever." ~ Michelle Morris

Love is...
By Michelle Morris
24/09/2023

We don't need to explain our love
We only need to show it
We don't need to analyse it
We only need to know it

For...

Love is in our marrow
Love is in our bones
Love is in our hearts
Love is in our souls

Love is everywhere
Love is everything
Love is our entire Universe
Love is our blessed being

Love is truly you
Love is fully me
Love is love is perfection
Love is our eternity

Desires

Oh, how lovely to cast thy eyes on heavenly bodies.
Where satellite images refract
beneath clear transparent streams.
Myrtles mute and calm.
Wherein verdurous traits acquired.
Yearns to cross t-s' and dot i-s' .
Thoughts flew through for considerations.
Cool breeze through lustrous despondent atmosphere.
Goosebumps all over bodily cover.
Some fond improbable delights.
But striking the flag not an option.

Raindrops refract sunlight to form
A rainbow
A teardrop refracts sunlight to form
A colored bubble
So,when l see teardrops
Running down your cheek
I would say
Don't cry baby
Cheer up
I have seen a teardrop
With a colorful rainbow
(a bright tomorrow)

Impressions Imperfect

Reflections are divergent
images composite
negatives of dreams
an alternate stream.

Calculations of precise reality reflected.
diverge and coalesce? In memories
Stacked as photographs fade…

Reflections are divergent
images composite
negatives of dreams
an alternate life
not all is at it seems.

Things unseen best left dismember
in the bloody history of my infancy!
Coagulates impressions like rusty blood…

As impression imperfect of pictures; vacations,
holidays, Christmases, and life images delineate
go fuzzy pale, fade, and blow away…lost in memory!

A story in the light of a bitter
sweet son a future left unseen
and in between shadow and reality.

Divergent reflections
composite perfect impressions
in alternant history
refract
retract
subtract & divide
impressions imperfect
feeling the suicide!

The shadows in all these photographs
burn in the light as future sons, diverged
impressions perfect

image compromise
comprehended
and surmised…

Let the Stars Fall

Unbelt the stars
Indeed, let them fall...
Open up, breathless scars
Answer to their call-
Take the world
An' crumple it all, up
Into a pin-sized ball

Let the stars fall
Let the stars fall

For it is all...
Mere flicker in the dark forever

Let the stars fall
Let the stars fall

Prism of strange beauty...
To refract an spill into unseen colour

Let the stars fall
Let the stars fall

To where all of...
Abstract geometry comes together

Let the stars fall

For, to me, it all seems silly...
How fragile, yet eternal can we be?-
To shepard, uncertainty
Into a tryst with divinity?
For as every kingdom, to fall
All of wordly mean
To crumble an' crawl

So inhale or waste away
Breath of cold winters day
For all of "truth" -holds no sway
Eternal energy, we are an' all know
Yet, still as roots, most lay...
Wild roses, they never grow

For, It would seem...
Truth, a black crow-
A friend
Most would rather not know

So let the stars fall

Premium MemberWhat To Believe

What is there left for one to believe in
to trust, hold sacred, defend with one’s life.
When were beauty’s rainbow taut bowed archers
laid resting in gray holes of mindless greed?

Could not the eyes be lifted on frail wings
the heart be told the folly of its lies
as every beat became a drummers call
uncover fallen arc from darkened veil.

What was it caused the colors to so pale
that light could not refract nor reignite
the cloudless arch of chariots long past
nor darkness hide the shame of lost belief.

Arcane Factories Iv

Lone machines hum and sway,
back and forth to the rhythm and rage.
Optics lens reflect refract and collect
the thunderheads of blood-soaked clouds,
build violent, violet lighting shimmers,
capers, flickers, and fades.
Lancing, dancing striking into a sick parade
Of the damned the beaten and lost march
in time to the metronome
as the eye of creation watches
from afar its sliver light
graces all in its cold embrace...
these white things, gaunt emaciated
Wispy figures in the gloom
damaged and damned doomed to
toil in the Arcane Factories
of nightmare and holocaust.

This Early Morning

This morning,
the sun-rise dapples bright yellow hues
onto the dark green leaves,

creating a lemon-lime splash.
The trees are still after a brief, breezy, sober night. The cool air chills the skin.

This morning
the birds are unseen, though their greetings, their songs, delight.

The trees within which they twill
reach for the sky, for each other..

they are of a lavish Summer flush;
they feel honored to be so adorned
by the Sun,

to wear such a golden effulgence.
Though they remain watchful, on guard.

This morning,
a shy cricket or two meekly chants.

This morning,
the windows of the apartments quietly refract the sunlight; their egg-shell-white blinds sleep.

This morning
is of a painting, oils of mellifluous sky colors.

Voice of the Light Bringers I

Mr. Jones.
Why did you leave?
Mr. Jones?
Why did you have to go?
Under chrome and glass,
through the fire we dance
Dance, the rhythm of an age,
dance the blues its
Hues run in time.
Sliver traces arc of light.
Refrain.
Images refract in mirrored spheres.
Why?
Gone so soon!
Where did you go?
Deep glasses spark under the dark star
Aglow with fame, fame, fame.
Let star dust cover you, cover you, your eminence.
In time, we all leave for nights Plutonian Shores…
But, you have gone before.
Adrift in bleakest of night,
Heavens engines hums.
We will see you some Sunny day.
As we race along to you rhythm cascades
To infinity’s sands, we cast
To hear the voice of the light bringers…
Your songs of creations, last!
Why did you go?
So fast
Mr. Jones?
Mr. Jones...…

The Beholder

light strikes
beneath the cracks
spiral maps
trace broken glass
splinter and refract
mirror to a view
a fleeting likeness
an image to please
the beauty
you see
bows to the lie
gives in believe
inspires a disguise
as a smile to greet
destiny frees
the willing to need
sight of a dream
keep us serene
tossed hearts of stone
skip the surface
battered to beat
the sinking weight
plunges deep
ripples the water break
adrift bittersweet
hands of a river
surrender to feed
a thread of device
sewn of means
seam to seam
the intricate scheme
pull laces upon strings
reap an infinite weave
a gathered neat
strangled remedy

Premium MemberGold

What is gold?
It is light-play on a warm summer’s day,
the sun filtering down upon Gaia’s face,
warming her children with it’s embrace.

Gold is tangerine clouds reflecting the sun’s face
while flowers refract it back into space.
Gold is warm like puppies, too
and fuzzy bees; yes, who knew?

Gold reaches down and gathers up
earth’s energies, in it's loving cup;
it’s harmony in nature I find;
all can see it, even blind.

It’s a magical place of light and color,
true elation in Technicolor.
Gold is really all around,
with open hearts it can be found.

Hexakosioihexakontahexaphobia

i insist on suffocating slowly
still
i refuse to die
imposing my will to weakness
avoiding applying the “why”

implications are closing in, opressive
my mind is open, fluid
suggestive
interposing meaning and form with
the spoken and written letter

the light source filtered through all this
wreckage
the squeaking moving in, opressive
regressive, the way my vantage remains
a disjointed unit-whole

you persist, and i suffocate quickly
you ask so nicely for me to die
deposing my God damned will to power
why do i seem to avoid the “apply”?

THE SYMBOL ON MY HAND IS BURNING

into the flesh, and back out from inside
illuminates Prison, a chasm, a prism
dividing a spectrum of impossible light

we wholly refract the soma, the psyche
The Panic transforms into beauty inane
compulsion, obsession, redemption, addiction
we know we’re alive
we perpetuate pain

Here Without You

Looking around our old apartment,
Is like visiting a place from my childhood,
Familiarity hanging on the remnants of a memory,
Your favourite seat by the window,
Where the sun would refract off the glass,
And kiss across your eyelids turning them gold and red,
Now it’s just a space,
Frustratingly vacant,
Everything here reminds me of you,
And it hurts,
A deep aching hollow pain,
It’s endless,
The memory’s taunt me,
I don’t want to be like this,
To wallow in self pity,
I don’t want your death to be all about me,
Because you made me so happy,
Now I feel like I’m betraying that,
Live life you used to tell me,
The tattoo on your shoulder -
“Love is living life to the full.”
Now your not here,
Your nowhere,
And I’d rather be no where with you,
Than anywhere without you.
