Refract

Is it wrong to feel? Is it wrong to know
That, as all things, my life will flow
To the vast ocean, like a stream
Meandering upon an open plain
Eroding everything within my way
Dissolving aught that drowns into the soul?

Is it wrong to love? Is it only I who cannot know myself?
Is it at all?

Who sparks in me elation, who am I to strangle self within an empty sea's philosophy?
Vanity, vanity, all is a mirror reflecting the self ever into itself.
A rant, a lyric, a black swan on a crimson sea, prophesy what destiny could never be

Silver behind and silver ahead. I see myself a thousand times, stare into the eyes of the
bluest of skies, of the sea, and cannot bear to linger on the soul of who I am.
I cannot bear to see myself, reflected, crystallized, cured within an image of humanity.

Take me down to where I lose all consciousness; to where the soul dissolves into a
coexistence, where the soul drowns in its own identity. Take me.

Take me there
To Love.
