Dirty Apron Tasters

Here's a more detailed approach
you don't need to be advised or coached
our behaviours
the love language we use
us together is a lovely mood
actively listening
trying to understand
showing concern
just holding hands
a kiss as a reference
understanding her needs
knowing her preference
the act of pursuing
with the intention of affection
being consistent in each
 and every direction

nonbelligerency

with her not willing to taste it
.So he said his wife had a different story.
He made mention of both price and referenced it to
the taste of chicken: she'd bite!

SUMMER BREEZE

SUMMER BREEZE

A summer's breeze gently tells a lie
About how all nature is soft and kind
Yet underneath, where we don't see
There is no room for any sympathy
It is predator and prey, you will find
And at the very end, we all know why

Flowers reaching up for pollination
Colours and scents inspire even us
Sure, beauty can be seen all around
And with birdsong, a delightful sound
But a nest disturbed will cause a fuss
As it's all about the next generation

In an almost alien microscopic domain
Creatures exist down to just one cell
Organisms like bacteria, even a virus
Never referenced on ancient papyrus
For the more sensitive, it's a living hell
And use their poison to deter with pain

No surprise that nature has two sides
For humans, it is more than to survive
We believe that our species is distinct
As in addition to that primitive instinct
We can grow and learn, create and thrive
As in our souls, a potential for love abides

One day, a bird will fly

One day, a bird will fly…..
One day, a bird soaring high in the sky, will be, she, in possibility
Never to return in a neverland sky, decisive in nominative totality
One day, a bird soaring high in the sky, will be, she, in possibility
Never to return about a neverland sky, decisive in nominative totality
One day…
The mountaintop, these dense clouds , layers of piling such, and so
A sandstorm, heartbroken saga, will not be a weather forecaster to go
In evocating high,a paraphrasing try, will fall, no more than brimming
Underneath a sky, for none, too aboriginal a humming
One day, a bird will fly…..
One day, a bird soaring high in the sky, will be, she, in possibility
One day…
A flute, fading slow, out there, with an absent delight, daylight! None!
None knew why, whence none could try to find a parable, a hymn, uncomparable!
A nomadic try will never end in a dead end to bolt, wondering in zero, her lame!
Herlem , once in Jerusalem!
One day, a bird will fly…..
One day, a bird soaring high in the sky, will be, she, in possibility
Never to return about a neverland sky, decisive in nominative totality

All That Vastness Out There

I am so small
so very small
whilst all that is out there
is so big
so vast
how then
can I be of any value
hold any worth
other than to consider
that my time down here
is temporary
a stepping-stone
to something so much bigger
surely
even as small as I am
this brief time down here
between birth and death
cannot be all that there is
with all that vastness out there
there must be more
or is there
what if
this brief time down here
between birth and death
is everything
and all that vastness out there
is none of my concern
what if
all my focus, all my ability, all my energy
should be concentrated
not on all that vastness out there
and what it may hold
and what it may mean
but on me down here
and all that that encompasses
what if
just being me
down here
is all that there is
and all that vastness out there
when referenced to me
is just that and nothing more.

The Artless Fool

Watch him now the 'artless fool'
Full of fake expression and counterfeit cool
He paints a picture of stylish health Of illusory poise and paper wealth.

The floozies swoon and the swingers flock
While the intelligentsia stand and mock
'Its all an act' they are heard to speak
All that artful bearing and imitation chic.

So watch him now the artless fool
Popular and referenced in the student pool
His prose and accent readily heard
While the truth is kept hidden, the 'artless turd'.

Mortality Is

Mortality is the sinking feeling
of checking a clock on a Saturday
and wondering where the hours went.

Mortality is the broken cry
of love unrequited.

Mortality is standing in a library
and knowing there's far too much
for you to read it all.

Mortality is hoping that you'll be a footnote
in the databanks of some future supercomputer
that gets referenced once in a blue moon.

Mortality is a rich crimson rose
grown from tears and muck.

Mortality is worth the pain.

Premium MemberBecause You Delight In Me-

O' Lord my Father God
In my soul songs of thanksgiving giving;
My spirit surges on keeps breathing;
On the way of my rebirth;
I cross the path, of God's righteousness;

Because you delight in me

He delivered me- You delivered me
He delivers me-You delivers me)
From the strong enemy
From those people, those things
For when they were strong over me;
God set me free;

Because you delight in me- because you delight in me

You prevented me
From falling and failing in my calamity
In the day of my calamity
It shall not ever be
For I'll will and shall be set free

Awesome is you love, you sent down from above
My Lord, my God delivered me
Because He brought me forth;
Lord you bring me forth, you brought me forth;
You are my favorite force
Unto you I geed and hear your voice, you are my holy choice

You cover me
In me there shall not be, no calamity why?
Because you delight in me
Because you delight in me

There Are Abilities In Disabilities

There are abilities in disabilities
So shun idioms that mock any form of disabilities
I know a fellow that has his physical frame unbalanced
And his head obliguely and disingenuously referenced

With slash reference Oriogbade may look dowd
But his wisdom these disabilities couldn't shroud
I hail his sense of humour for being so superb
And the philosophies canned in his proverb

The lessons in life are lives themselves
Oriogbade taught us to believe in ourselves
There shouldn't be such idiom again as turn a blind spot
For Oriogbade, his proverbs prove that he's a hotshot

Should there be someone that can help him to the top
I mean someone that can give him a leg up
Like those who brought him on air to grease his wheels
In order to fortify his resolutions against future ordeals

Oriogbade will be a recreation in the movie works
With his disposition he won't be a spanner thrown in the works
As he begins to breathe with profit and from his wrenches unclench
May he never be clenched again to go back to the trench

Premium MemberSpeared Again

Tell me why, you dratted bard,
you have to come and spoil my yard?
All these centuries lying dead,
yet there, your voice, oft in my head.
So many times I start a phrase,
become aware I’m in your gaze.
Out, damned spot, leave me alone
To conjure verses of my own.
Perchance, could you just silent dream?
You’re messing with my self-esteem.
Again, I start afresh, anew
To find, again, I’ve referenced you.
The sole of wit, the heel, the fool,
and once again, I’m just your tool.
Discontent haunts all the seasons,
subtle, infiltrating reason,
plays discordant etudes, brute
(slipped another in, eh, cute?)
As I read “with mirth and laughter,”
another pilfered verse, hereafter.
Perhaps delayed, protest too much
that all my poems are such stuff?
As you like it, as you will;
still I’m glad I met you, Bill.

The computerized MAP test
Who could take it seriously?
Not even norm-referenced
A state test, only in Missouri
I watch a fourth grader complete his
Answering forty-two questions in seven minutes
Hooray for him I think

V W

Volkswagen- the word we use to stop
Whatever role we play in mid hop-
Was picked because there is no toy,
Position, costume, knot, or ploy
In a lifetime of sex that we’ve ever heard
That used or referenced that unsexy word.
We got the word that means "NO"
But we never thought of a word to "GO".
When everything pushes to a singular end.
When everyone rushes a hand to lend.
We wrestle from bed or sofa to floor
Clinching to see who’s gonna get more.
Something that means love with a fang
Something arousing, like “Bang Bang”.

Premium MemberTwo Poems About the Iroquois

Ruler of the Cataracts-Maiden of the Mist

The thundering waters of the Niagara.
Voice of the mighty spirits of the water.
The natives believed and yearly sacrificed
a white canoe with fruit and flowers
and a chosen daughter, until the Christians
came and told them Jesus paid. Not until
Lela-Wala, an only child and motherless,
was chosen did the practice subside.
After she dived, her father Chief Eagle
ran out of the woods and followed her.

HANDSOME LAKE

He was born as Hadawa'ko “Shaking Snow.”
Handsome’s half-brother was Cornplanter.

My heritage from People of the Longhouse —
John married Margaret, a French woman.
She birthed Helen, my great-great-great grandma.
Together they lived on a reservation.

Handsome was born in 1735 in a Seneca village
on the Genesee River into the Turtle Clan —
later he was adopted into the Wolf Clan.

Doubtless my relatives knew of Handsome Lake.
He signed the U.S. treaty with the Six Nations.

Premium MemberPenitence

In penitence I bow down to his throne,
head bowed in shame, heart heavy with my sin.
My sobbing whispers heard by God alone
as I recount the ways my faith wears thin.
He gives a heart of flesh, and ears to hear,
for he who seeks the Lord will surely find.
Then in uncluttered silence God draws near;
His Word the Holy Spirit brings to mind:
“He saved us, not because of deeds we’ve done,
in mercy we are justified by grace”.
“Your sins have been forgiven” says the Son,
who proved his love by dying in our place.
The news is good – Christ’s hope we now employ,
That “those who sow in tears now reap in joy.”

Another Friday has arrived
No meat I do sigh
I eat the fishes from Saint Peter’s wishes
Fried or grill
The sea food fits the sacrificial concept bill
Bring the tarter
For a starter
While other condiments enhance
This feeding chance
But all one is doing is not eating meat
Isn’t the fish just as sweet?
As that piece of meat?
Purpose is not to give up
Instead raise a cup
In remembrance of Saint Peter and the stand he took
Referenced in the holiest book
The letters and readings published in the text
Have for centuries earned one’s respect
We believe these are nonfiction accounts
Explaining human civilization and what it is all about
Yes, these stories are supposedly are true
Written by those who saw biblical power plays through
Today’s 2020 Lenten year
We state without a tear
Enormous things have been taken away
Before the 2020 resurrection day
I can say stand by one’s belief
By showing in 24 hours going without eating any beef
This challenge will make one strong
While waiting for those to confess on what they did in 2020 was wrong
