Reap What You Sew Poems | Examples

He's still with me, Everywhere I go

And the saying goes,

That you reap what you sew.

But at this point I don't know,

What the hell I could have sewn.

I can tell you, I didn't want your anger to grow,

I could tell somebody, if I let the bruises show.

I'll tell you it isn't right, I shouldn't have to take the blow,

That you never should have wanted for my blood to flow.

And if this is knowing love, then I don't want to know,

And I don't want to spend another night crying into the pillow.

So have you got any more questions now?

Is there something else you'd like to know?

Yes, I am leaving this "so-called" home.

Yes, it might hurt, but this is the end of our road.

I'm ready for better days to come tomorrow.

I can still, in my bones, feel every punch or kick you have thrown.

And my blood still runs cold when I pick up the phone.

I still fear all of the unknowns;

And I still am ashamed that I didn't have more backbone.

I can still smell your sandalwood cologne;

And when I saw the truth in your words, it hit me like a stone.

"You can leave but I'm still with you,

everywhere you go."

Red Dress

Brain so muddied why am I on trial
Where do I stand what am I fighting for
My stomach is coming up only bile
Feeling used I am humanities whore

Where do I stand what am I fighting for
Two days on this verse and still no progress
Feeling used I am humanities whore
How am I looking in my new red dress

Two days on this verse and still no progress
The world is looking small from my window
How am I looking in my new red dress
I must look the part you reap what you sew

The world is looking small from my window
My stomach is coming up only bile
I must look the part you reap what you sew
Brain so muddied Why am I on trial

Karma

Your actions determine your fate - Karma
You reap what you sew - ecology
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction – physics
Do onto others and you would have done onto you – religion
This moment is all you control – reality

Be present in the moment

The Lamest Legend

Because of what society has said
For the reason that there is no because
In light of what once was problematic
The fairness tragic. The drunkard sober.
The numberless inmate dares to say, "free".
A diseased harlot weakness fails to see
One careless mistake is done purposeful
Love nervousness makes vertically challenged
Words inside of meanings inside of words
Pain felt without the ouch that screamed out.

Balanced envy towards choiceless goal setting
And the dizziness that balance becomes

For staying out of trouble in trouble
And believing that prison respects that

A step back from what Kharma creates for
Then to observe why you reap what you sew

Famous infamy. Famous heartlessness.
Blameless bigotry. Blame that's targetless.
Speechless verbatim that speaks out of tune
The wackest reason brings the deepest truth...

Premium Member Heroes

Where have all the heroes gone
In this nation facing war
Do you have faith in government now
You reap what you sew, no more.

A mother waits for the return of her son
A father is waiting for the war to be done
A son is praying for his Dad to come back
A daughter cries out, the night seems so black

Tension keeps mounting, tears have been shed
While Washington routinely tallies the dead
Where are the heroes, do they exist any more
Are the heroes the ones' protesting the war

I would die for my country and I would die proud
But over this war hangs a horrible shroud
We hear empty promises from our president's tongue
We're not saving the world, we are killing our young

There is only one fact that should not be refuted
When terrorists are caught, they need to be executed
If we don't follow it through, we can't protect our land
As death is the only answer they understand

Please don't tell us this is a necessary war
Repeating Vietnam, we've heard it all before
Tell us now as this war rages on
Where have all the heroes gone?
