Through the Lens of Gaza Boy

When they brought the new of Hamas attack, with the drums and the whistles,
little Ahmed was at UN School jumping with joy.
They all ran to the window -- military music "Al-Aqsam Hurricane,"
cheering with a childish heart.
He saw his older brother on the back of a pick up truck with hostages, an elderly and a child, brandishing his kalashnikov, shouting at the top of his lungs,
and then heard the rockets flying and the plume of smoke rising to the sky.
Ahmed is now missing under the rubbles, his family gone, his brother killed in action, with no marked grave. The boy never stood a chance to celebrate his 7th birthday.
