Woe To Time That Ravages This Face

I notice an unhappy face that's changing,
wrinkles and dark spots start appearing;
The beauty of youth was a passionate fruit,
until it gets ripe and loses firmness and glow!
I had the smoothest skin exposed to sunlight,
a deep tan looks great when mood is mellow!

Woe To Time That Ravages This Face

I've noticed an aging look that's changing,
wrinkles and dark spots start appearing;
the beauty of youth is a passionate fruit...
until it gets ripe and loses firmness and glow!
I had the smoothest skin exposed to scorching sunlight,
a deep tan looked great when my mood was so mellow!

Woe to time that ravages this face with haste,

Even the most powerful fall in the end
No matter the prestige they fall like all men
Tycoons with fortune
Lowly street urchins
No one is immune time does not bend

None Are Immune To Ceaseless Ravages Of Time

In vain we beg for that which once we had
Things Time destroys with its whispering ease
Sometimes its destruction is not so bad
and at others, ones best gems it will seize.

Time eats away as a ravenous beast.
With cold indifference, on all it feasts.

In eager youth we are too often

Nightmares, Ravages Of A Prometheus, Free And Unchained
from my new blog

(I.)

What of life, mortality and blessings of virgin ground
Philosophy, religion and *Prometheus unbound
Of Mother Nature, illuminations and transcendence
Science, and vanity of weakened mortal dependence
Light keeping darkness, destruction, life has now earth so stained
From horrors of gifting new god, Prometheus unchained?

Should we,

Smoker Ravages Uma

Down through the greener woods of Uma,
Through the lions’ den to the green mamba’s palace,
Near the dik dik’s habitat,
As the antelope took off to escape the rage,
Of the approaching leopards whose paws protruded,

Upon the trees were vultures the street sweepers,
Freely interweaving chores with weaver bird choirs,
Whose melodious tuning meant zero to the jungle-
Whose circle a

The Ravages of Sandy

Thousands of homes on the East Coast were
not spared from the ravages of Randy in late October,
the misery of devastation was everywhere:
Hamilton Beach was flooded by feet of water,
so was Old Howard Beach and Lindenwood
got its share, too when lights started flickering;
my apartment could have been flooded to the ceiling,
lost everything and going back I
