Rabi, the Ever Rising Sun!

Rabi, the Ever Rising Sun!
----------------------------------------

Among thousands and thousands of stars
You are the one and only who shines
the brightest.
As the sun above our head is the
solar guardian
You are the same for our lives
to be that man .
The sun rises and sets everyday
not caring anyone
But you never sets remaining ever rising for everyone.
The sun gives us the day but he takes rest at night
While you stay ever rising in our life to make it like day light.
You are the sun of the land called Rabindranth to enlighten
Our lives, minds and hearts to be the complete men.

Dr. Dipak Dik, Kolkata, India.

To Heaven

My Lord, my King,
my Sovereign Father,
mercy and grace.
The finest flowers for the
hour of Your birth.

Lost are the souls born of monkeys,
swimming fish from the proverbial sea.
The swamp of ugly lies.

Low that I kneel to my creator,
humble at the hand of the Lord.
Grateful for the kindess,
in earnest to seek...
Your word.
Ever Your will to be...
mine own.

Selah, I sing...
Lifted hands to heaven.
In peaceful solemn reverence,
to your almighty power,
and awesome might.

Gentle lamb, roaring lion,
Rabi, teacher,
healer and kind ruler
of all that is....

Ever moving the sun across the sky,
the moon spinning at your leisure.
I can only wonder,
what my tiny soul can do,
that would bring you laughter,
and joyful pleasure.

As I dance before you,
unable to move my feet,
I am ever aware...
the Light of God,
shines around me.
Warm and safe in the coldest night.
My soul in his keeping,
untill the morning light...
The distance between his precious love,
and my heart has no measurement at all.

Bored out of my skull in my hospital bed
You’ll be here for Christmas, the consultant said
What happened next made me bubbly as Fanta
Two nurses came in, they were dressed up as Santa

My blood pressure took by a couple of flirts
With very long legs and very short skirts
One just bent over so it’s not surprising
The other one told me my blood pressure’s rising

You won’t need a Rabi, a priest or a vicar
Ain’t nothing wrong with this fella’s ticker
Its pounding away like Cozy Powell’s drums
You don’t expect nurses to have shapely bums

One licked her lips and... crikey, she’s winking
What a good job she don’t know what I’m thinking
Oh Lord, something’s happened just like I had feared
I really could do with a full knee length beard

There’s nothing gallant about what’s in my head
With them in their scanty gear, ermine and red
But I think they’ve guessed cos there ain’t no disguising
The sweat on my brow and my temperature rising

They sit on my bed and I smirk like I’m bolder
The next thing I feel is a hand on my shoulder
The Santas remain in the world of the sleepy
In this world there’s matron...
Not sexy
Just creepy
