Gossip is junkfood-
Cheap talk dressed up like a
Meal,

Served by people who stay

And seasoning them
Hungry
For somebody else's
Downfall.

It hits quicks
Salty,
Messy,
Leaves the tongue filled
In things you can't swallow
Back

People snack on rumors
Like chips in a defective
Bowl,

Crunching half-truths
And seasoning them-

With their own self-doubt.

They pass around
Somebody's pain
Like hors d'oeuvres

At a party they weren't invited to.

But I spit fire now-

Clean fire,
Classy fire,
The kind that burns off
Nonsense

Without lowering itself
To their level.

I don't eat lies
I don't serve them.

I don't sit at tables
Where truth is elective.

Gossip is junkfood-

All flavor, no value,
All noise, no weight

Truth though...

Truth is a plated dish,
Made slow,
Made with hands
That know precisely
Who they 're feeding.

Would you Ashes Adam and Eve it

Would you Adam & Eve it on the eve of the Ashes a simple gambit

Folks Bazball blokes won't choke are bespoke Stoked and up for it

Heed & feed that decreed need for SPEED to impede Aussie cricket

Trick pick slick mix of quicks in nick at a decent lick.... just the ticket

Get set for the ferocity of this racy quintet each one a bowling bandit

Along with Big Ben his pacy men with a stun speed gun for fun habit

Fastest speedster pack all out pace attack ever sent to OZ God dammit

Genesis of old nemesis not giving a toss about the old Colonial boss innit

In a spin larrikin sin of BazBall getting under the Aussies skin.. just admit it!

On trial England's new wile & guile style versus all that vile bile denial sh*t

Stokes's bowling banquet not just a treasure chest but also a safety blanket

Reigning by regaining the Ashes crest of best Test conquest on the planet!

WTC Postman Pat

Another hallowed arrow from his quivers

One of cricket’s greatest shiver givers

Coursing down your spine like rivers

Fine line..never dithers as slivers

Of adversaries hopes on the ropes..withers

Tipples tickle our livers

The latest tropes of how

Somehow…anyhow won’t kowtow

Postman Pat delivers

Matinee idol looks tease

Record books hooks please

Finds batters crannies &

Nooks with such ease

Impeccable length…metronomic

Chin music chagrin

Such strength..astronomic

Gift of getting the ball to lift

Chronic bounce…hedonic

With his swag bag of quicks tricks

Name on the adored hall of fame

Lords boards with six..another Cummins elite fix

Beat Bob Willis’s record tome of the best

Test figures for a captain at cricket’s home..

Yep..yet another done like a kipper

By this chipper ripper skipper

Who’s not found wanting

His chiselled jaw..up there for sure

With the mean hardcore

Ponting or Waugh

As the best Test baggie green

Top draw Captain (not woke...just a better bloke) seen on screen

Or that’s maybe ever been

Premium Member End of Season

No Kiss me Quicks, no giggling girls,
no candy floss, no strawberry swirls,
no shuggy boats or bright blue skies
no donkey rides or coconut shies,
no arcade fun, no fishing off the pier,
no slot machines, no ginger beer.
November blues, an empty prom,
to sunny Spain they’ve all moved on.
