Spicy Gordita

Spicy Gordita
 Welove Mexican food.
 With Tabasco.
 What about spicy gorditas?
Show them what you're made of.
 Gorditas means corn cakes.
Throw in the enchiladas to bake.
 I love cinnamon sopapillas.
Tonight we are having a fiesta.
 Tequila with lime.
Can you walk a straight line?
I’m not sure about corn cakes.
Weneed something stronger than paper plates.
 What about fish tacos?
After a drink, go down below.
 Have a super burrito.
 Beans make you toot.
 Just have everything spicy.
Have some guacamole on the side.
You could turn into a chimichanga.
 With some quesadillas.
 What is your taco name?
 Mine is spicy corn cakes.

Olfactory poem

made my Drakes Breath chili for my friends ,
Hot peppers beef cumin veggies ,sauce and more,
Chili and beer ,the party never ends ,
One homie stated. chili to hot for sure.
At the thedepot.org ,I felt not assured,
What’s a head chef to do under restraints ?
The heat stayed medium and I got complaints.

Souvlaki plates aromas and taste i adore.
A pork souvlaki with a savory sauce,
i order the platter i eat two for sure,
The Greek salad I get is surely the boss,
If the platter isn't empty .,it gets tossed,
On certain birthdays I get them by my kin,
When my kin pays,I consider it a win.

I used to eat mexican on my birth day.
I used to order the steak and shrimp plate,
quesadillas with all toppings I say,
There 4 or 5 quesadillas that I ate.
At thedepot.org met old friends it was great.
I ate medium sized vege chili bowl,
Last week -a vegan burger, good for the soul.

Premium MemberShe's a Work of Art

She is not a prima ballerina at the age of three
but I stand and applaud when she dances for me.
Eloise, my granddaughter is such a lil sweetheart
I painted her image, but she's the real work of art.

When we spend the day together, we talk a lot
about her pink flamingo, puzzles and dot to dot.
We gasp as Captain Hook tries to catch Peter Pan
and sigh when Belle takes the Beast's giant hand.

Yesterday, we baked cookies with chocolate chips
after eating quesadillas and coloring baby doll lips.
We made pretty necklaces and painted pine cones
and face timed each other on make-believe phones.

It's much too quiet when she leaves; and a little sad
I reminded her Santa is watching, and not to be bad.
She smiled and said, "Nana, I'm on his good girl list."
Then, she took her Daddy's hand and blew me a kiss.

Mexican Minuanetta

A menu, Annetta, I’m hungry as a bear.
But first, something lighter, tell me, what have you there?
Chips, by the bowlful with salsa as starter fare.
Do bring them A-S-A-P, and yes, I declare
Extra? bring some queso with tender, loving care.

First course finished, once more the menu,  if you please;
Greens, tomatoes, cucumbers with lots of chickpeas,
Hidden Valley ranch, the best dressing will appease.
Iced sweet tea with two slices of lemon, I’ll squeeze.

Just a simple salad will stave my hunger’s chime.
Keep that menu close at hand, for proteins are prime;
Leafy salad down the hatch, now it’s entrée time.

Menu calls loudly in clear meatier voices.
Now for the main course, Bueno! stomach rejoices.

Operation Fulfillment: contentment, my need.

Polla Poblano, with rice and black beans to spare;
Quesadillas, two with chorizo, two with cheese.
Rich cuisine fills me up, I am feeling sublime.
Skipping dessert sounds like the wisest of choices,
Tosh! bring me fried ice cream, for I have gone to seed.

I Am From Me

I am from

I am from my mom’s jean jacket with leather lining, from levi’s and converse.
I am from the cracked blue painted walls and worn down white windows.
I am from the white calla lilies, the roses.
I am from yearly trips to Laguna Beach and stubbornness, from Patty and Camille and Marcus.
I am from the procrastination and determination.
From “clean up your damn room” and “take out the trash”.
I am from pseudo Hanukkah. From matzo ball soup, latkes, and no religious aspects.
I’m from Santa Ana and Europe, quesadillas and pizza.
From the two different families.
I am from Natural Bridges State Beach, Russian River Campgrounds, and Foothills Park.
