Lily Bug the Mighty Pug
Lily bug the mighty pug,
All 13 months and 15 pounds of,
Just goes to show the unbridled
Power of nature
Supremely confident
Maniacally enthusiastic
Without a clue of her limits
And adorably cute.
But perhaps most importantly is a hint
Of the joy and love
That resides in the heart
Of Life, all life,
Large and small, simple and complex
Resides as part of our nature
Ready, and always eager,
To shine.

Bittersweet bitsy Bailey bug
Rock and rolled in Rodney’s rug
Had he partaked of a daily drug?
Rodney was sick of Bailey’s crazy mug
Time to go home, he told the lug
Just one more chug, said Bailey bug
He was chased off by Rodney's poodle and a pug.
Pug puckered up
Gave the baby a kiss
No one noticed
Not his mother, father,
Or his nanny, a miss
Pug walked away, satisfied and happy
A dog who is sentimental and a bit sappy
Baby woke up and thought something was weird
But had no knowledge of the deed,
So no culprit was accused, convicted or cleared
Playing hide and seek with my clever pug
I hid in the closet snug as a bug
Tired of looking for me
She turned on the T.V.
And watched Lassie curled up on the rug

A big meat eater in Tampa Bay
became a vegan for his fiancé
But his pug feels forsaken
with his bland tofu bacon
So he’s calling the S.P.C.A
A cautious young lady in Garden Gate
brings her pug when she goes on a date
One bark: He’s nice
Two barks: Thinks twice
Three barks: Run before it’s too late!
A young pug of exceptional breeding
leaps to her owners side as he’s reading
She adores Jane Austin
In her books she gets lost in
And won’t budge ‘till it’s time for her feeding
An Australian pug so loves prawn
she could munch it from evening ‘till dawn
It’s called shrimp, silly Aussie
yaps a Yank borzoi quite bossy
But being good mates, their anger’s long gone
A happy pug adored as essential
had doting owners quite influential
But with the stock market crash
she was sold for hard cash
Now she’s forlorn and inconsequential

A charming pug much subject to flirting
loved a boxer so much he was hurting
At a rockfest at dark
all she would do is bark
He found the whole affair quite dis-concert-ing

I brought you home
for I could not resist
that pushed in face
and rolly girth
From the first time I saw you
it was just ment to be
tho the dollar signs
are still something I see
your short and stout
and you wear a mask
and you've learned quite well
just how to ask
to eat or drink
to sleep or play
and your learning more
with each passing day
The love that you give
has filled me inside
with more love to give
for the rest of your life
So, hats off to
the black masked mug
with that soft wrinkled face
on a fawn colored pug!
A Pug’s your pal for always,
Through cloudy days or fine;
She’ll lie stretched out beside you,
And curly tail untwine.
Perhaps your world’s gone haywire,
And things seem far from fair;
To her it matters little,
So long as you are there.
This chubby bundle’s waiting
In Failure or success,
And from her warmth of welcome,
Great wealth you can possess.
She’s one of life’s great treasures,
Whose value is untold,
For every Pug is minted,
From the fine and purest gold.

A flying chubby dog indeed, is my Mugsy the pug,
with stubby little legs always acting so smug.
He grew wings about a week after he was born,
by the breeder, how come we weren’t warned?
Last week he ran away chasing Rocky the Irish Setter,
my chubby little dog should've known better!
He spread his pug wings over Rocky and he pees,
"I swear, my Mugsy has small-man’s disease!"
Tough as a board, but scared as a tiny tot,
he barks and Rocky screams, “YOU’RE ANNOYING, STOP!”
Mugsy lands on Rocky’s grass and tears it to shreds,
for his owner just laid sod, “OH MUGSY YOU’RE DEAD!”
Mischievous and naughty he laughs in Rocky’s face,
I asked him where he was, “mom I was flying out in space!”
He’s a brave daredevil when crossing the street,
“oh my word Mugsy, you don't deserve a treat!"

Jeter! what a special dog you are.
Our love for you is in our hearts.
The joy you bring our family,
is priceless, you see.
You don't do many tricks,
but love us with your many licks.
Lately you have not been feeling well,
We pray for you and wish you well.
Elena, Briana, Brandon, and Gus will
keep their fingers crossed,
just because, you mean so much.
If their ever comes a time you have to leave,
You'll take with you, a piece of me!
For now We will enjoy the time we have,
So we don't have no regrets.
Jeter you bring us so much Joy,
you know, you are my favorite Boy.
If I had one wish for you,
is for you to be healthy too.
We all want to say to you,
we all love you...
