Nightfall Seen By a Poet

The sun painted the lake
in redness,
while the wind weakened
abandoned the dry leaves to
  own fortune...
A thousand birds went to hide
from the brown fire...
All mesmerized, yearning for the night...
I, affable prentice poet
I simply enraptured romanticized
the show...!

The Power of True Love

Everyone needs love
Everybody wants love
Not me, I want true love
You heard me, right
I want, I need true love
I need the type of love that causes me to live and breathe
Relax and be at ease
Yes, you heard me right
I need, I want true love
I don’t need counterfeit or artificial love
I can do without false love
Prentice love causes headaches and war
Violence and revenge
Anger and strife
Which leaves spouses without a husband or wife
I can do without worldly love
Lust and lies
Conflict and pain
Scars and heartache’s that’s not my goal or aim
I will no longer be frame
I prefer to refrain from lust, lies, and artificial love
In this life, I am out to gain
I will no longer be another man’s or woman’s fool
I have qualified from the Creators school
Here I learned that true Love
Should not make anyone another man’s fool.

Shores of Fantasy

At the edge of
the ocean we stand poised
Ready to be taken to faerie
     The land is perilous
for some
      but it calls to us
as it called to Prentice
     long ago
  We all yearn for a
         star on our brows
To walk in mist - enshrouded meadows
and to see flowers of unearthly beauty
growing
       A riot of joyous color
The touch of a magical hand
will give us this chance
        In Faerie eternal spring
and lights from the north
        form the patterns we love
    The King and Queen
of that land ate calling us
    Let's leave these mortal shores
    And hear the lovely
sounds
    Of golden harps
and flutes
played by ethereal beings
The golden stories
        flow here like a river
This magic
     will change us
        FOREVER
