Dawn's Calyx Woke Her And She Saw Pink Explosions

Dawn's calyx woke her and she saw pink explosions
As if hot flaming rays across the window sill
She woke me, I was brainstorming some implosions
Laughed together, love was in the pinkest pill
But day cried out, I am now tantalizing you
Your hearts are combining but my golden rays shift
Radiant glazes that give you more than your due
I work with love, in tandem we paint in to uplift
At the beach morning sun again touched our souls
As the ocean's strong waves washed our lazy feet
We marveled, life astoundingly joined our goals
Must have been Heaven's lovely will that we would meet.

That day, in the afternoon we vowed to wed.
That glorious night, we slept in a silken bed.

Premium MemberTerrified of the Kitchen Rat

Kitchen rat with the ugliest pinkest tail
Jumped on the table and drank Daddy’s ale
I was frightened for he was as large as me.
Where could I hide? Under a cup for tea?

I slid into place with the cup on my head.
Holding my breath, for I felt nothing but dread.
Kitchen rat turned the cup over and said, “Hi there!”
This did nothing to diminish my horrible fear.

“I do not bite,” the rat said, giving his head a shake.
Do you want a piece of this birthday cake?
Of course I did, the cake had been baked for me.
I ended up sharing chocolate cake and a pot of lemon tea.

Premium MemberHappy Ballerina

She was wearing her pinkest ballerina tutu, a nine-year-old phase.
The vanity mirror showed her sparkly smile and her happy gaze.
Her dancing feet were tapping up dust in a tiny little dusty haze.
You are so gorgeous! Your costume is exquisite, your face ablaze!
The happy ballerina had not known many happier or joyful days!

Premium MemberCocoa On a Winter Day

fingertips of dripping ice that has frozen
glistening crystals of winter’s hardest snow
hot cocoa for my sledding friends, I need a dozen
reviving ourselves by a fireplace glow
pinkest cheeks awaiting familiar ho ho ho

Premium MemberWe Are Pig Farmers

At first Pig Meadows did not seem to me like much of a wow.
They head toward the barn, a bit closer; I can stay in the house right?
So large! Children say. You should see the biggest pinkest sow.
I have seen her from afar, and as far as I am concerned this is all right.

We are pig farmers, my uncle said. Come out and say hi.
I was scared to death, this was a man-eating pig as far as I knew.
What is wrong with you? My cousin asked. You could at least come try.
So, I met the largest pig; his name was Old Cornflower Blue.

OCB was a dandy four hundred- and twenty-two-pound hog.
He ate all of our garbage, which was handy indeed every day.
His best friend was Tee-Willager, a fantastic Great Dane dog.
They soon became my besties in every single way.

I was so glad that I gave them a chance to be my friend.
My life on the farm started that fine summer fly-bugging day.
Now I sing that we are pig farmers until the utmost end.
And frankly, I would not have it any other way.

Premium MemberI Just Want Her To Leave

Husband asked me to interview new secretary.
I was reluctant.
Did not want to, but for some reason did.
She was young, nervous, shaking.

I sat in his chair. Tried to look executive like.
Asked her two questions.
Leaned back too hard in his office chair.
Bam! Back and head hit the floor.

Feet in the air with my dress on.
Face is orange, but I am being prissy.
Crawl off chair. Stand.
Her face is pinkest of pinks.
Neither of us say a thing about it.

Upright chair. Am more careful now.
I can feel my inflamed cheeks twitching.
“You are hired,” I tell her,
Not realizing she can only type eight words a day.

Within a month
We became crazy friends
Laughing hysterical about the stupid chair
And my legs in the air.

Premium MemberAttempting To Capture a Pink Sky

a pink sky pinker than any other sky I’ve ever seen
no one will believe it I thought so I took photos
One after another, but none could hope to capture it
For it was more than three dimensional, it was surreal dimensional
I gave up after the sixty-eighth disappointment

It looks cold out there my husband said, snuggled in his Lazy-Boy.
It is, I agreed, but worth it for it is so beautiful.
I thought you were not supposed to go out because of your asthma
I have a little doctor’s excuse about that because it is true.
I am not able to breathe well in less than thirty degrees

I went out anyway, and I stayed out
Trying to get the picture
Which I never got
Because this is
the pinkest
sky in the world
and I am that
photographer.

Premium MemberWe Began Anew

to animate imagination
I chose cashmere, apricot, opal and platinum
soul’s command center smiled
puddles of ideas came swiftly
I discarded them
Tossing them into the stream of nowhere
tantalizing whiskey wishes played in my dendrite field
I tossed these tidbits and trinkets aside
Sycamore stem of consciousness rolled her eyes
I slapped a mean name tag on her trunk
Dendrite field used its largest pinkest eraser
We began anew
My spirit guides began playing with the ignition switch
My muse slapped me upside the head
When is it our turn? She asked me.
I truly had no answer.

To Mumm

Exciting is thy tweet to sweet
Besides being a wowsome greet

Thy quote carries philosophy indeed
Advocating the sublime deed

These four days could not ping thee
For that please pardon me

Anyhow we are in touch
Universally through vibes much

May you have the pinkest day
Surely you will make hay..!!

Premium MemberThe Luxury of a Garden

Garden’s luxury of pinkest foxglove,
Nurtured by angels from way up above,
Along with petunias and marigolds,
Honors the true path of the very old.

Joyful delight oozing from every pore,
Fairy brownie heart completely did soar.
Sweet deer in the meadow came up to see,
Owls and robins were looking from their tree.

Twilight breezed in on tiny birdlike wings.
Macaw and crow were given shiny things.
My poet’s heart was cheering in my dream.
Gentle brook trickled into every stream.

A prettier scene will never be found.
Joyfulness and love oozing all around.

Premium MemberThe World's Prettiest Baby Ever

The prettiest baby ever born.
The kindest child ever imagined.
The most adorable smile ever created.
So darling, she should be in the dictionary under the word darling.

The softest hair ever created.
The pinkest lips.
The bluest eyes.
So cute, your eyes will fall out because of her cuteness.

First grandchild?
How did you guess?

Premium MemberA Familiar Land

"I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
I know where it is,
and I'll take you there,
Because you're my one and only lover.

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
It's a beautiful place,
just like your face,
It's fragrance will intoxicate you,
it's a place you never knew.

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
I'll take you there in an hour,
The lemons are sweet and sour,
Like our love, it's filled with passion and power.

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
the greenest of the grasses, and the pinkest of the flowers dwell therein,
tiny butterflies and dragonflies cheerfully hover.

I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
and in it lies an abandoned, old tower.
Let's go there and spend some time,
Until the sun dies, until it becomes a crime."
