Petits Poems

Dead sea

I bathed, one day, in the Dead Sea,
My belly floated like a piece of wood
The water was so salty, it stung the skin
It was necessary to go out and take a good shower,

I have not known Jesus, me, nor Jean Baptiste,
I have not known Simon, nor the small fishermen,
I have not been a saint, nor seen silver nets,
I have let the sun do its work of sun,

I bathed, one day, on the Dead Sea,
Between Syria and Palestine, looking at Israel pure,
My belly floated like a piece of wood
The fame of the place, has enlightened my soul.

Premium MemberBeing Rich Is So Much a Bore

No greasy treats from chippie van;
I have my starch now au, gratin
with blasted, deconstructed bass,
petits pois, served; in Demi tasse.

No pint of best down at the pub
I drink with chums now at the club;
Prosecco, or a Chardonay
depending on the time of day.

No picking up the kids from school;
done by Au pair now; as a rule;
she turns up in our four by four
dressed top to toe in old Dior

No visits to the Home Depot
I have ten craftsmen now in tow;
who add things at my beck and call
to my enormous stately hall.

No need to visit family;
They all now want to come see me,
drink all my wine, then use the pool;
methinks they take me for some fool!

There's nothing left that I can buy;
so why, you ask, that big old sigh?
I have new friends, but here's the rub;
I miss my mates down at the pub.

Yes, being rich is such a bore!

Aux Femmes Et Hommes Qui Ont Seme

Le jour à se rappeler
Mon Dieu avec guidance
Un moment de silence
Nous rendons notre respect
Vos souvenirs sans regret
Dieu nous relève
Terminer la grève
Jésus est venue sauver
Ses petits souliers non oubliés
Dans nos coeurs remplis d'amour
Dieu voilà à votre secours
Le sentiment de mon coeur
Vous apportera notre bonheur

Bondit Vers Lui

Beaux petits lapins
Sans chagrins
Bien nourries
Sans ennuies
Bien au chaud
Âmes si gros
Près à partagés
Tu n'a pas changé
Aussi courageuse
Ma belle serveuse
Savoir le bien être
Couvres vos têtes
L'amour de nos jours
Avait besoin de secours
Me prendre par la main
Vos douleurs vous faites fin

Plein d'amour
Portant les coeurs de secours
Avancés

Grandit votre agricoles
Avec mes paraboles
Aimés vous les un les autres
Sans fautes
Vous allés bien aider
Vous êtes tous pardonnés

Beaux petits canards
Vous faisés votre part

Bien masqués
Couleurs vibrantes
Quand tu nous chantes
Pleins de coeurs

Premium MemberCul Du Sac

Cul du sac

Blood tears
Leaking
		slowly
      the empty face
emotions raped

red raindrops
	fancy lollipops

	empty glass
filling with sanguine color

 		drip
	drip
 drip

We are smiles

	en chante
tous

les petits moulins rouges

	tombe
			casse

	drink well from my veins
sleep in my tears

robbed of heart
		                faceless

fate has fermented
      barrels of laughter
			in the silent chamber
		of broken dreams

Notes: Translations

Cul du sac = dead end
en chante = cheers
tous = all
Les petits moulins rouges = the little red windmills
tombe = to fall
casse = broken

Many have attempted bilingual art, music, song, film, and very few have had success, and yet for me, doing so is a bridge that joins the best of all cultures and heritages whichever they may be, so seeking less success, and more bridges to travel I carry on.

Premium MemberSilouhettes Against the Face of the Sun

you were walking along a blossom carpet
holding three yellow calla lilies
i could hear the blue river running along the rocks
toward the cullasaja falls where the water raged
we were like giraffes in the rain, first to feel the drops
in our perfumed outdoor living roam

we lived a fairy tale of here and now
we lived a fairy tale two feet off the ground
wilson’s warblers sang in their series of descending notes
and now we were just silhouettes in the sunset
eau sur peau et petits fruits rouges c'était nous

at treks end morning strawberry and cream grew wild
we could see nature’s pick dancing on the clouds
as we sat for biscuit tea beneath a popcorn sky
until the evening primroses announced another day done

time to embrace in the warmth of your silky touch
my eyes rain a sun shower on this our sacred globe.

Premium MemberLife

arcs of light shadows
may appear for a short while
 humming quietly
 dancing inside small circles
 they appear and then are gone

arcs d'ombres de lumière
 peuvent apparaître pendant une courte période
 fredonner tranquillement
 danse à l'intérieur de petits cercles
 elles apparaissent puis disparaissent
