It would not have mattered if those words made any sense,
Nor how I looked like a nervous fellow
Speaking those words aloud, writing them down
As long as those disturbing thoughts
Freed from me, escaped me, gone
So soon forgotten.
When I write poems
Or if they are poems at all,
They're for my enjoyment
Really.
Critique all you want,
They're oblivious to the eyes
Like an evening streetwalker's silhouette
Soon forgotten.
Sometimes words aren't meant to be touched
But to simply exist
To ease the pain
The writer's woe
Equal to the vomit draft
Of an angry letter
Never to be sent.
It's a mess
Really.
In writing this, This thing!
What is this, What is This?
Nevertheless it is here through the touches of the keyboard
Words that don't really make any sense
But are there
Making me more of a nervous fellow
So soon forgotten
Really.
I'm a lonely person on the inside but instead of showing my feelings I hide. I'm afraid of what people might say so i cry on the inside. Not brave enough to say what i really feel because im afraid people might laugh so I keep my words to my myself and my pain never heals. When people look at me they'll know how I really feel because I cover my pain with a shy smile and a slight laugh. Not brave enough to show the world who I'm really am so afraid what they might think, say,or do.No more from now on I'll be who I want to be no time to be afraid lifes too short.I going to let myself free. You can laugh or say what you want because words dint hurt me at least not anymore.
All the colors that my eyes see
Seem to become a part of me
The red that bleeds my angry days
The gray that shades my darkest ways
The green forest that brings me ease
The purple tracks from my disease
Toni’s black outfit fills my nights
Faith is now my pillow of white
Colors lead to one conclusion
The rainbow is God’s illusion
Through the rainbow what my eyes see
I perceive immorality
For within the words that I write
The will in man to face the fight
To change his life and learn to be
A child of God proud and free
Everyone perceives, as they will
I can only write what I feel
I feel these colors in my soul
God’s rainbow leads to streets of gold
Of all I do and all I see
These colors bring me harmony
Harmonic balance brings me peace
For all my dreams are now in reach
Protected by the flaming sword
I accept Christ to be my Lord
Of all I do and all I feel
I am a servant to his will
It is the Lord who yields my pen
All the glory I give to him
In my words can you not perceive?
Gods rainbow truly brings me ease
Harmony now lives in my soul
See serving God has made me whole
Reflectively, at peace within my mind
my thoughts upon the words I have to say
though lacking much it's richness that I find
for I am blessed to write them all away.
So often all the words that I have penned
have been the only voice I've ever had
and turning to my dear and trusted friend
I've often sought the comfort of my pad.
Even at a tender age in time
when the only things I had were words and prayers
child like I'd soothe myself in rhyme
as God watched over me and eased my tears.
This gift to me stands high among the rest
and by Gods grace I know I have been blessed.
