Egg whites whisked to form soft peaks
With golden sugar
Piled onto parchment paper
Baked on low setting
Smothered with whipped cream
And fresh fruit
Bliss!
Popular meringue dream
Plastered over with cream
Peppered with strawberries
Possibly cranberries
Probably ambitious
Perhaps not nutritious
Perfectly delicious
Cut open pomegranate Christmas lights aril
Syrup drips erupt bitter volcano alluvium ooze
Blackberry gall sullies crust creamy caramel
Chroma pervades pavlova cracks in lilac hues
North Pole prepared sugar sack, sans limit
Blizzard whip season removes several months
Egg fragile igloo glitters in shell smash grit
Featherboa snow stiletto cabaret flamboyance
Santa avalanches resume a ruby ice unity
Investing in fuel for rocket launching research
Sleigh's sky laughs at axle trapped gravity
Astronauts unconcious core to raunch dessert

Thirsty for Departure
The heart flattens out into words,
and it dies instantly on the page,
the tea is good but I resent the art
of bite sized Pavlova, apricot tarts.
Words
that should have lingered
a small while longer
are now bloated corpses.
The heart-
it's found no shore,
no safety
and no place to save itself from
drowning
Resonating magnificent resplendencies in such, rhapsodies
Resonant amid this glowing renaissance; and her resurrection
Lost opaque dreams awakening to find these, vibrant colours as if
Van Gogh himself had been summoned through time's periscope's visions
Brilliant brushings aside passions poured about viles of a rebirth's casting; callings
Transposed from atop another vestige's love laced canvas; splashing's be spheres now
Captured inside, a concerto's reprise ? Ballerinas their light and my, Anna Pavlova, with love.
Resonating magnificent resplendencies in such rhapsodies..
