Depression

Depression came to hurt me
Riding in a hearse
With putrid, rank, heavy breath
And the promise of a curse,

Stealing my faith and energy
Injecting all things perverse
Planting fears like wheat inside me
To coerce a harvest so averse.

Happiness went AWOL
And lethargy held me down.
Like a sinking ship tossed in a squall
I was bound to drown.

There is no way home
When your spirit is torn away,
Just plans to parle with Mr. Doom
Like a wretchedly desperate castaway.

Somewhere I got permission for remission from my plight.
Somehow I found the will to stay in the fight.
Perhaps it was my wife or a celestial light
But I shutter to think, I may be cast, back into that dark night.

sagesse

A man
Who does not know how to listen
The birds,
is a lost man,

He is not master
Of his thoughts,
He is not master
of his life,

A man
Who does not know how to listen
Birds,
Does not know how to listen to his wife,

A man so made
who don’t listen to birds,
Does not often know
What he’s talking about.

Un homme
Qui ne sait écouter
Les oiseaux,,
est un homme perdu,

Il n’est pas maître
De ses pensées,
Il n’est pas maître
de sa vie,

Un homme
Qui ne sait écouter
Les oiseaux,
Ne sait écouter sa femme,

Un homme ainsi fait
qui n’écoute les oiseaux,
Ne sait pas souvent
De quoi il parle.

of the people we hated

Of the people we hated,
We end up loving them,
I’m talking about movie actors
That I wouldn’t quote,
By Jacky Berroyer too,

I certainly don’t speak
Murderers, rapists,
I certainly don’t talk about it,
Thieves, dictators,
Bad guys, pedophiles,
No one likes them.

Of the people we loved,
We end up hating them,
I’m talking about some friends,
I’m talking about some actresses
Like Alice Taglioni,
May God forgive me!

PS Alice Taglioni and Jacky Berroyer are minor French actors

Des gens qu’on a haïs,
On finit par les aimer,
Je parle des acteurs de cinéma
Que je ne citerais pas,
De Jacky Berroyer aussi,

Je ne parle pas certes
Des assassins, des violeurs,
Je n’en parle pas certes,
Des voleurs, des dictateurs,
Des malfrats, des pédophiles,
Nul ne les aime..

Des gens qu’on a aimés,
On finit par les haïr,
Je parle de certains amis,
Je parle de certaines actrices
Comme Alice Taglioni,
Que Dieu me pardonne !

J'Embrace Ton Coeur

Seigneur
Merci de ta croyance
Merci de ta guidance
Confiance en soi
Mon coeur me parle de toi
Ta beauté
Ton coeur de charité
Bien aimé
Tu as contruit le coeur à tes meubles
Nous sommes ton peuple

Do You Speak French Well

« Parlez-vous bien le
français, Lou ? — Je ne parle pas
bien le français, Jacques. »

French-to-English translation:
"Do you speak French well, Lou?" "I do not speak French well, James."

Literally:
"Speak-you well (the)
French [language], Lou?" "I not speak not
well (the) French [language], James."

*Notice the added "space" before the question mark in the French haiku:

*And notice the French quotation marks, called "guillemets" [ « » ], used in the French haiku:

Wives

I need her,

Her lips that show up the blossoms,
so much I pinch her bottoms.

Her hair more soft than corn silk,
and her dark nipples leaking milk.

Her happy sport I am proud of,
she flies to score like a raptor.

Her keenness is studious,
I taught her to obliterate struthious.

Her comedy and drama,
she'll make a very proud mama.

Her castle in the desert,
I'll gaze at her sheer skirt.

Her Eastern wisdom,
knowing so well she rules her own kingdom.

Her skilled parle with me,
used cleverly over tea.

That partly is what they mean to me.

Tofore the Morrow Breaks: Ptsd Laden Dreams

Doth thou Parle the night's
                   Vastidity?
Wouldst be thine haver of thy
Uneyed, thought-sickness strewn umoving
                    Travels?

Ratherst, it be that, it is thine
    trade-fallen quarters; thine debt as
the Militarist is mete by the
Languish bestrewn on thine epochtic mind.

            The morrow breaks...

Pour Juliette Girardot

Note: This is not a poem, just a riddle :)

Pour Juliette Girardot

Si vous me donnez 1000 essaie
Si vous me donnez 1000 valses
La réponse que je donnerai
Ca sera toujours la même
J’ai besoin mais une seule essaie!
Jacques Brel

Premium MemberIf I Could Talk To the Aussies

I have a couple of internet Friends in Australia
We like to joke around some, so I wrote them this,
To the tune of "Talk To The Animals" (Dr. Dolittle)

If I could talk to the Aussies
just imagine it
Babbling to a Bloke, in Blokaneses
Imagine Bantering with Bludgers
Chatting to a Cobber
What a neat achievement that would be

If I could talk to the Aussies
Learn all their dialects
Maybe get an Aussie slang degree
I'd study Cone Toad and Dag
Galah, Dill and Bag
And of course Ab-bor-rid-gin-e

I would parle in Punter and Piker
And would curse in fluent Kangaroo

If i'm asked , "Can you speak 'Banana Bender' "
I'ld say "Both Genders, can't you"

If I could talk to the Aussies, learn their languages
Think of all the things we'd disagree
If I could walk with the Aussies
Talk to an Aussies
Slang and Bang and hang with an Aussies
And they could Slang
                          and Bang
                                  and Hang
                                         with Me !

French Silk Pie

French Silk Pie!

Heaven must be missing Angels
Oceans must be missing mermaids
Miracles must have grown feet
Prayers answered, you are their manifestation
Such sophistication
Cake frosting smooth rich creamy butter tastin- skin
So soft to touch. I could get lost in the feel
If this is a dream you are seeming way too real
I'm in a diabetic coma you make my blood sugar go low to high
I'm fending for a slice of your french silk pie!

Your skin feels like pudding
Not too many places I wouldn't
I remember when I couldn't
If we were two lines laying next to each
couldn't be more congruent
Do you parle voux francais ?
I asked what she say?
She looked at me from behind her eye
Meaning she sees me and understands my why
We kiss and my truth can't lie
My kiss is power, it's fireworks in the sky
It's a delectable treat, her french silk pie

Pour Une Fille Que J'Ai Aimee

J'entends encore votre voix
Quelques nuits quand il pleut
Et quand tu parle, vos paroles sont plus belles
Que ceux de Dumas et de Voltaire

Je n’avais pas une chance avant vos yeux miroitants
Votre petit sourire timide

Mon Ami Fred

I once had a friend in College,
who was a young man named Fred.
He had a funny crazy habit,
of making certain utterances in French,
to pretty girls he hoped to conquer.
One day he met his match in a lady,
who disgraced him without intention.
On that day, he walked up to the lady,
'Bonjour mademoiselle he greeted'
The lady was so happy,
 'here now is a brother,
qui parle Francais beaucoup' she thought.
She answered him with an alluring smile,
Ah, bonjour monsieur, je suis content
que vous parliez Francais
Mon ami was now in a hot soup,
when he knew the lady was no novice,
in what he knew nothing of any use.
The lady rattled on like a parrot,
and asked my friend 1001 questions.
My friend was only smiling like an idiot,
in front of the lady he thought of conquering
I had an ache from series of laughter,
as I watched the unfolding drama of a rascal
who wanted to use what he never had,
to make a fool of some of his fellow men.

Mon ami-- my friend (male)
Bonjour mademoiselle/monsieur---- good morning Miss/Mr

Je suis content que vous parliez Francais-- I am happy that you speak French
