sagesse

A man Who does not know how to listen The birds, is a lost man, He is not master Of his thoughts, He is not master of his life, A man Who does not know how to listen Birds, Does not know how to listen to his wife, A man so made who don’t listen to birds, Does not often know What he’s talking about.

Your poem has a quiet wisdom to it, with a rhythm that feels almost like a proverb or philosophical reflection. The repetition of a man who does not listen to birds creates a lyrical cadence, reinforcing the theme of being disconnected--from nature, from oneself, from others.

A man who has no connection with the natural world and with birds and animals will not have any connection with fellow beings. All are God's creation. When one fails to understand this, he will be lacking love and soul. Beautiful thoughts dear Yaan.

Hello Yann, such sharp wisdom in its simplicity and the quiet power of listening. I love the way you draw parallels between not hearing the birds and not truly understanding oneself or others is striking. The idea of a man being lost without the ability to listen is such a compelling truth. Excellent Read! Winter Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
