I’ve developed tennis elbow; it really is quite sore
It’s a medical condition that I’ve never had before
So I went down to the doctor and knocked upon his door
It’s a common ailment, he’s seen it many times I’m sure
He wrote me a prescription; oh boy he’s really funny
Told me to watch the Olympics – not pretend I’m Andy Murray!
I’ve got some painkilling gel, which really does seem to help
And a tubigrip bandage, so constrictive it made me yelp
I struggled to get this ‘tube’ on but it restricted the flow of blood
So I’ve ditched it in the bin - it was causing more harm than good
Now I’ve put on an old crepe bandage, which seems to do the trick
I’ve now come to the sad conclusion… I’m becoming a geriatric!

I can't write if I don't feel Despair,
Silence hangs in the air,
All that I know is I can't let go,
Too great is Sorrow.
I fight each day to be strong,
But someone always finds me to be wrong,
Be my painkilling drug,
My grave I have dug.
Loneliness floods my heart,
I'm being torn apart,
Is it any wonder
I like screaming at thunder?
All that I know
Is I can't let go for
Their words dance inside my head,
Sometimes I wish I were dead,
But I know nothing'll change,
Even in Death I'd be Strange......

I’ll fight only for you
Defending all the things that you do
I’ll fall down
broken, bruised
Giving it all
only for you
I’ll endure the ridicule
so that you’ll know I’m here
Despite all the pain
I know you’d do the same
Your love’s painkilling
sends this thrilling delight
Restoring my might
so that I keep up our fight
I’ll fight only for you
Defending all the things that you do
I’ll fall down
broken, bruised
Giving it all
only for you
