The Kennedy Center is known to the world
For honoring those in the arts –
From Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Astaire,
Whose talents top all of the charts.
Sinatra, Gene Kelly, L. Bernstein, Kazan
And Benny and Lena and Merce,
Ray Charles, Lucille Ball, Isaac Stern and George Burns,
The list both profound and diverse.
Belafonte and Ailey and Hepburn and Peck,
Gillespie and Sondheim, the Who;
Aretha and Dylan and Kander and Ebb,
Judith Jamison, Chuck Berry, too.
Baryshnikov, Quincy, Paul Simon and Cash,
Warren Beatty, James Taylor and Cher;
Tina Turner and Spielberg and Barbra and Tharp,
Yo Yo Ma, Dustin Hoffman – all there.
Al Pacino and Elton, De Niro and Streep,
Lily Tomlin, Santana and Sting;
LL Cool J and Reba and Joni, Mel Brooks,
Lionel, Dick Van Dyke, Carole King.
There are more I’ve not mentioned, but going ahead,
It is going to be quite a shock
When the Kennedy Center will honor, perhaps,
Village People or maybe Kid Rock.
Oh, I fear for this country in so many ways
And it feels we’ve been stabbed in our hearts
With the Kennedy Center now being run
By a man with no stake in the arts.

Willis is a ghost
The indestructable was
Arnolds shoulders have yellow and black stripe
it's a bee back
Al Pacino is in a film with the smurfs
say hello to his little friends
Neo is an anagram of one
and also eon but whatever

Serpico
limit tree eye
a passing passerby
with tulips that fly
into the eye we shall see
burning with fire
a gun for hire
Serpico as Al Pacino
go with the flow
came out years ago
carry on then let go
elect new members
place, spaces & traces
Live it up
As if the light of a skunk
braided by the mere notion of goals
barren sea onto remember me
falling down on my knees
love, hate & sweat
so sorry that we met
not so easy to forget...
Attica ! Attica ! Attica !
beat one with a baseball bat
live at each attempt
porcelain tape some call it fate

Acclaimed Italian-American actor, Al Pacino
His brooding intensity, a raging inferno
He forcefully exclaimed "Hooha!" in 'Scent of A Woman'
A catchphrase was born. Great actor, dimunitive human

Saying goodbye pains me so..
You were my sunshine ..
You spread cheer..
My days were filled with joy..
I rescued you my sweet pug..
My gift to you was a new home..
A new life..
Filled with love..
In return you gave me much more..
Unconditional love..
Unlimited and constant..
We shared a special bond..
You and I..
Saying goodbye pains me so..
Hurts me so..
Your health deteriorated..
You suffered..
In your suffering..
I was there for you..
I gave you love, tender, and care..
On a cold winters day..
Your life was about to end..
I held you in my arms lovingly..
One last time..
Your big brown eyes expressed ..
You unconditional love..
Filled with sadness and despair..
A river of tears running down my face..
My sweet pug departed from this earth..
Peacefully..
Emptiness surrounds me..
My wounds are opened..
In time..
My wounds shall heal..
The special bond we shared..
Is alive and well..
It never dies..
Saying goodbye pains me so..
Instead I shall say..
To you..
We will meet again one day..
My sweet pug Pacino..
May you rest in peace..
This poem is dedicated to my neice Laura..
Who lost her sweet dog Pacino..

There was a man's man, you could say he was grand,
who blessed the cinema screen and had millions of fans.
When he swaggered into a room, men stepped aside,
their wives and their daughters they would all try to hide.
He had something about him, some called it true grit.
Others would say, "What ever it is, I wish I had it!"
He stood around six-foot-four, larger than life.
If you crossed paths, you had better brought more than a knife.
On and off the screen he got his respect,
actors today, sorry to say, don't have that effect.
Willis, Deniro, Pacino and the Rock all rolled into one,
wouldn't come close to John Wayne and the things he has done.
Now I've seen all his movies, thanks to my Dad, his number one fan.
From Rio Bravo, Rooster Cogburn, Chisum and The Quiet Man.
That's just a few, to list all would take too much time
and drain all my ink and ruin my rhyme.
The Duke didn't lose many fights that he fought,
the man he portrayed was invincible we thought.
The battle called cancer he just couldn't juke,
but I'll always remember this pilgrim, known as the Duke.

After escaping the amish clan
and returning back home,
looked like someone followed me
a peculiar looking man,
seemed like everywhere
I'd go he'd be right there,
like something out of a
stalking amish mafia nightmare,
he was kind of short
and of course wore the standard beard,
but his face resembled the face
of actor Al Pacino,
one day I decided I'd better
change my look or go incognito,
so donned a long blonde wig
and started wearing "falsies,"
changed my clothes style
to more country western,
and still not feeling secure
moved up to Tennessee
where I'd feel more at ease
and settled in the Smokies,
one day was walking around
and shopping at a local store,
when people started staring
and flocking around me,
started feeling once again
like another bad dream,
almost started running and
started sweating profusely,
when all of a sudden they asked me
can I have your autograph Dolly
and could you sing "Islands in the Stream?"

I come to America with a passion for money and food,
hoping to get rich;
and they say that gold is found on streets!
I work and work all day
to make some dollar,
and I eat pizza and drink wine...
I would like to be like Al Pacino
a famous actor in Hollywood!
And I waited many years to see beautiful women
like Marilyn Monroe...what a face!
What a body! A Diva so sexy!
And I like to be like Valentino from Italy,
to seduce all the pretty ladies with my charm;
and they all kiss me...O lucky Casanova!!
