Above The Rubble

Structures crumbling under the weight of
the decisions made in haste
Beneath the rubble lies all the reasons it was
all laid to waste
The signs were seen but disregarded as mere
means to an end
The golden mean would've sufficed but extremes
prevailed once again
Lack of faith in what is seen lead to harder lessons
learned
Some fight hard for their destruction so their path
is truly earned
You can preach until the cows come home but many
won't give a second listen
I guess the slaughter is more enticing to their
inhumane animalism
We're cannibalistic in a sense with the way we come
for each other
We've been deceived to come against & to fight
one another
Everyone loses at the end of days if we're overcome
by the night
We're in the midst of the battle of all battles with
those that wish to force a fight
They say that all is fair in love & war and that
purple hearts are a blessing
All I see are the wounds that decorate us while we
endure convalescence
Open your eyes unto the message before you take
further steps
I implore you to be righteous in your ways so that
you avoid oversteps

Premium Member Bewildering Beauty

Initially, it appears
Jackson Pollock's interspatial painting
"Ocean - Tribute,"
overtly oversteps the boundaries of abstract art.
And the eye struggles
to validate its bewildering beauty,
hidden amongst the dribbled droplets of paint!
But then, seemingly spontaneously,
the blobs and dapples of color
intermingle in purpose.
And you see a kaleidoscope of shapes
and forms merge and disperse
into limitless shifting patterns;
as your imagination
gains access to the artist's dream.
Unique to the beholder:
interpretations tap into the imagination,
to abstractly convey cemetery and fluid motion
in the natural cadence of chaos.
Beyond beautiful; it's breathtaking!

Premium Member The Book of Life

The book of one's life has been written
The paths he has to walk on have been traced
The goals to be achieved have been chosen
The time of completion of the events has been set.

One has just to:

Read carefully and understand the plot of his book
Walk on the indicated paths and never deviate from them
Help materialize each of the goals set according to his abilities
And
Finally, be ready to accept what may come without complaining

For

Our Lord has given to each of us what it takes to participate, constructively, in the becoming of the cosmic order.

He neither coerces us nor allows us His divine plans to destroy.

He has given us freedom, but He also has set
inviolable universal laws to safeguard His creation

Thus

Whoever oversteps these cosmic laws will face the
consequences of his actions

In that case

One has to know that God is not to be blamed!

Premium Member The Gulf Oil Spill Tragedy

Nature consists of balances ever so delicate
Eco systems and life hanging on the edge
Man oversteps boundaries in his desire to develop it
Leaving death and destruction in the wake of his dredge.

From deep underneath waters supporting sea life
Oil is pumped to rigs riding on top of the waves
When used, the pollution enough causes much strife
When ruptured, disaster results requiring a save.

We watch from afar as waters turn black
Terns and fish washing up on the shore
A mistake from which we cannot turn back
Oil of destruction continues to pour.

We can curse executives of the big companies
We can find fault with the slow political aim
We can cry, “Where exactly were the contingencies?”
But by allowing it firstly we all are to blame.

The greatest tragedy in life is to experience the pain
But have the lessons learned from it lost
So from this event let’s hope man can gain
The wisdom to be more careful, no matter the cost.
