Premium Member Every minute matters

In a world of alternate reality
choices made lead us down
to different destinations

We zigzag leaving patterns forging pathways
with consequences hardly insignificant
each triggering a chain reaction

What a complicated maze
of endless possibilities
with outcomes unpredictable

Every thought every action
every silence every denial
weaves in fact the fabric of our destiny

Present

Was angry at something

Played football

Alone among the hiding birds

The evening sky

Coughing colors

Allergic to the grey forms

the factories cause

My mind lazily

grazing upon the

festicied crops

I guess this is

What present looks like

No one gives a at all

Building skycrapers

Above our heads

One earthquake,

And it all falls....

Humanity

This is a contest entry for Law of Physics and Humanity. The topic I chose was quantum superposition. Look back into your own life, use choices with what outcomes that could've been. For example being stuck behind a slow driver to only see that the car ahead of them wrecked. Each possibility is a state and there are infinite ones of them. This is my poem about the probability of your life.

Vector spaces give us the direction,
A part of the answer to your question,
What is superposition in quantum you're asking,
Plenty of types of vector for electron to proton masking,
The masking of possible probability of infinite states,
This is what Schrodinger's cat dictates,
Infinite outcomes until finally observed,
Taking the amount of measures then probability is preserved,
Applied to life supplies what state you're in,
Plus the probability of what you could have been.

Worthwhile Outcome

Creative, great work
But so tough on every hands
Worthwhile with outcome.

MODERN BIRDS

The advent of women is a daily phenomenon,
I'm glad I'm not one when all is said and done;
be honest, God must have been laughing creating Eve,
might have been less problematic if Adam and Steve.

He could have had periodic review for procreation,
keep things ticking over and make a whole new nation;
ladies of beauty are not easy to discard - a dull life?
but it might have been better with less trouble and strife.

Things have changed, hating mysogony has become deranged,
but wouldn't have existed if life had been properly arranged;
taken advantage of, ridiculed and decried is not really best,
there may be price to pay, maybe God was one of the rest.

You wonder why equality is paramount, however, why the rush?
now the ad-men have coined the phrase for periods - 'Oh my gush.'

Elitist's Outcome

Elitist's Outcome

America is crumbling
Invasions almost complete
They're silencing all our voices
Our rights trying to deplete
Freedom's quickly dwindling
Indoctrination the way
Corruption's all that's left
As our arms are stripped away
Intentionally leaving us helpless
Defenseless and the prey
Politician's bloodied hands
Traitors who have led us astray
Coming electronic shutdowns
All communications lost
Intentionally poisoned waters
Famine's our inevitable cost
Embedded foreigners attacking
A bloody civil war
World powers invading
Devastation shore to shore
Elitists in their bunkers
Nuclear holocaust ensues
Their population reset
Genocide quickly accrues
But when the dust settles
And they slither from their lairs
To digest all their spoils
As Earth's new supreme heirs
Unfortunately their utopia
Was grossly miscalculated
Dismissing God's tribulation
His wrath was not anticipated
Now they see their final fate
Left here to suffer and dwell
With scorched bodies and endless pain
In this dismal abyss He made Hell

Premium Member Unexpected Outcome

Lonely robot wanted to make Planet V friendlier
He planted some seeds, hoping they would entice her.
The only female on the planet he had seen so far.
She was a gorgeous cosmonaut from X348 star.

Female came by and said I do not like flowers though
He was sad about it, for he had hoped to wow her so.
But I like you the cosmonaut told lonely robot guy.
She invited him on a date, and his heart leapt to the sky.

Premium Member A Promise

Do not simply promise someone
If you're not sure of the outcome
Not ruling out the possibility of unexpected circumstances
Not ruling out the limit of your ability
A promise is not made to be broken
It's made to be fulfilled
It's made to light up people's heart
It's made to help those in need
And so don't ever
Simply make too many promises
Before you ask the permission from God
Before you ask a promise from God

Hoping For a Different Outcome Everytime

Aching to be felt, aching to be seen.
Desperate for love, is it even real?
Its something out of a nightmare,
Similar to a dream.

Opposing Outcome

When volition was created
And choices made
Equal opportunity to all
Eternal price paid

Evil grew and compassion waned
Idols became gods in glorified names

Fear couldn't be exposed in plain sight
He had to forge his chains in threads of light
Forked system of god and law
Controlling the masses by making them small

For generations, humanity came in line
Finding comfort in rules and regulations
Fear broke out in confinement of homes
As devils sat, in full view, among congregations

Suddenly, a miracle appeared
Changing hearts to adjust wayward minds
Taking responsibility in individual choice
Altered the focus of matter in time

TRUTH arose, calling little ones to come
See how LOVE created them to be
Webbing of silky terror fell with a thud
As authenticity came to agree

Issachar's crown given to over-comers
A new way of living just outside the door
Volition, ever-present
But Forgiven has silenced fear forevermore

...never abandon your crown

The Outcome

Across the room, eyes meet
Welcoming smiles, hearts beat
Stuttering greetings, words uttered
Downward glance, tummy fluttered
Knowing looks, silly giggles
Blatant lust, heated wiggles
A subtle hint, an unspoken reply
A furtive touch, a hopeful sigh
A hesitant move, fingers clasp
A brush of lips, an ardent gasp
Forward suggestion, a tentative shrug
Into the garden, a yielding hug
Passion inflamed, frenzied kisses
Pursuing more, captured blisses
Over too soon, the act a blur
Goodbye from him, tears from her
Times a healer, for good or bad
Nine months later, she's a mum, he's a dad!

What the Outcome Might Bring

We are not about the
 Color of the skin.
   The substance of self,
 Lies deep with-in.

   We are not about
 Judging our neighbor.
   Or who you believe
 Is your savior?

   We are not about ignoring
 The homeless on the corner.
   We don’t judge if your
 A native or foreigner.

   We are all about giving
 Everyone a chance.
   You screw up, then you
 Pay in advance.

   We are all about lending
 A helping hand.
   We support our
 Local clan.

   We are all about standing
 Up for our rights.
   Along our journey we
 Have many fights.

   We are all about taking
 Care of one another
   One hand washes
 The other.

   We are all about helping
 A family in need.
   Even if we argue
 And disagreed.

We are all about our Mom’s,
 Our flag and apple pie.
   We accept one another
Even if we don’t see eye to eye.

   We are all about doing
 The right thing.
   No matter what the
 Outcome might bring.

The Outcome

Result of work will truly talk
About the way how one performs;
Nothing good comes from easy walk,
No success gained without the storms.
Yes, one chases the ticking clock,
Driving fast with his platforms;
Employing plan despite the block,
Just to implement the reforms.
Even many admirers stalk,
Silently knowing his brainstorms;
Until they gather like a flock,
So he acquaints as he informs.

Premium Member The Outcome

purple tulips, the color of her toddler dress.
the leafy stems, her eyes.
the baby-blond hair, mom combs into a crest,
the sea will satisfy.

blond slowly turns brunette, tumbles
from Rapunzel’s tower, then gets shorn.

green waters, a dry oasis —
cerulean blue boundary.
open sesame with artificial drops.

wrinkle-protected eyes.
ears can’t hear what others say.
deaf and blindness make her appear wise.

guttural sounds - huh, eh, hmm.
smiles and nods as the tongues of the young,
like trumpets in her ear, elucidate their troubles.

she’s ironed out hers. they still exist.
still, she knows the outcome.

sediment of the sea shelled out to the deep.
sand sifts through her fingers.

sandcastles wash out, but i see
children carrying shovels and pails.
some have leafy-stem eyes and baby-blond hair.
