Oro Poems

IT’S YOUR NAME

With nothing, I pride myself as Olakunle,
Who makes moves,
Overcome challenges and kore Dele.

Truly, Oluwanifemi
Even death whispers; Ikukoyi.

The future is secured, for the gods have Tiresimi
And instructed the angels to Mayowa
Ki oro mi le Dayo.

The heavens smile upon us;
We are established
And Ayo wa Tobi.

Oh; let’s enjoy our companionship
By neglecting our differences and Dolapo.

Life is full of mysteries and surprises
But we shall Durojaiye and Jokotola.

Adormecido

Mis ojos apagan entre renglones de descanso
Punto, coma, punto seguido
parentesis
Te extraño
Cierro parentesis
Quiero besarte

Aun recuerdo como entre instantes fuimos eternos
Nuestros besos achicados eran puntos
suspensivos,
de un corazon a guiones
Fuimos dialogo entre un escenario embestido
Te recite poesia a miradas y coqueta miraste

Mia, me miraste
Tuya, te mire
Nos miramos

Recuerdo tacto correteado a miedos queriendo,
arrancar

Adormecido corazon
Yo por ti,
estoy
Adormecido

N- atives of the far mountainous lands with
D- ivine forest and mountain ranges,
O -ffering mineral-rich soil and emerald vegetation
R- anging from lappaceum to lansium,
O- ver which the pristine rivers flow.

The name was from old Spanish moniker "mina de Oro" ("mine of gold")

Bitter side of love

Oro jade
Walking along
Without stress
Without a thought
As a thousand flies
Swarm the heart
A thunderous storm
Blusterous in his wake
Wrecking the mind
While Dicing the life
Into phases
Reliving the days
As it trickle by
Tickling with the stingy time
The man and death
Both lay on the same fated bed
While the saints and sinners
Both intended robbers
Becoming Destined lovers
Forging so much love
Formed out of lust
stealing the truth
While selling a lie

Words

It sometimes comes
as a whisper
flashing slyly
like an unsheathed sword

effortless in its escape

stainless in its will
It sometimes roars

fuming with malicious intent

like a glistening guillotine

hovering over many heads

It sometimes flows

with a steamy passion

entrenched with cunning roots

quietly silhouette

Stealthily amidst the quiet shadows

Subtly enforcing

tiring the feeble minds

The Crowned King

Olodumare crowned you,
Like the daring obas of old,
Undaunted and unshakable,
With hearts sculpted out of gold,
Ase and oro were their best friends,
Dangerous yet mellow,
Empathetic and in-depth analysts,
Meekfaced like the proverbial lamb,
In all they were the brave ones,
Laying aside their troubles and ills,
Alase ekeji orisa they were called,
Due to their daring feats,
Eki Oba Alase.

Premium MemberDiego Maradona - In Memoriam

Diego Maradona, I never knew you,
but you were from my generation,
only five years younger than I.
How young to have to die! How young to me it seems!
You – who were one of the greatest of the greats!
You – who controlled the football; you were its master.
“El Pibe de Oro,”
always you will be remembered.
Golden Boy of Argentina -
whose famous goal was
the “Hand of God,”
may you to God now homeward fly.

Addiction

i decided while
trying to find a
vein trying to
get a fix of the
mother load

that vein that
runs through
my very body
rich and pure
worth more

then any oro
for she without
vanity is never
vain though i
needle ready

need to get
her into my
life my very
life's blood
because

i'm an abuser
of my Muse
which she
prefers mi
Musa

which i
gladly
use
her
she

is my
addiction

Premium MemberLas Naves De Madera

LAS NAVES DE MEDERA (Wooden Ships)
They wanted ships. What they got
was wooden shells
not a farthing from the Crown
for these floating buckets.
Six thousand corks, hastily riveted
into the keel planking, kept them afloat.
Nina. Santa Maria. Pinta.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained said Isabella.

Ah, muchacho, would she ever cash in.
The navigater shot the course
over the main, visions of tapestry and lace
and all sorts of spices in his head.
Gold? Well--Sí, oro.
But he never dreamed.

The natives appeared naked and restless.
In scatted shades of blues and reds,
artists painted skirts on the girls,
long shirts on the old women,
loincloth on the men,
and a pearl studded gilded robe on the king.
Which Chris promptly stole.
His mistake was trying to hide it
from Isabella.

Sabras Que Te Quiero

Ode To Passion

I say, too much passion
in us poets, like a touch of a thou
saccharine taste invading our veins,
we cannot restrain,
we cannot condemned the only reason
for our being,

passion is what keeps us breathing,
passion can make us see it all
different than others,
not to cease, not to die
or give-up, passion grows in our soul,

it reminds us it is there
every minute of our day,
when we need to count the hours
to get to him/her.

Passion is the sedative to our worst day.

The essential of reason,
the way to a path,
to rivers and streams that find our dreams,
passion is a vessel making a net
reaching our heart our souls

keeping the beat louder and quieter in waves
frequencies, passion is vigor,
is a sparkle in our heart that continually
beats violently and has no outcome.

Passion is un corazon de Oro.
