Premium MemberOgham An Old Scribe

Ogham was his name
in Ireland he once found fame
his symbols sadly did not catch on
but on stone they still live

Hazel Tree Sonnet

Hazel Tree Sonnet

My wild subconscious mind has given me
And I would seek to know what it intends
In dream, the seeming of a hazel tree
Please talk to me of hazel trees, my friends
I keened for wisdom, and in answer got
To keep me from the dark and poverty
An Ogham tree, a nutshell, wand, or what
Please talk, my friends, of hazel trees to me
I hear you say the truth is mine to find
Within myself, or high up on a hill
But dearest friends, if you be good and kind
Please talk to me of hazels, if you will
And I will listen, and make sense of it
Ye Gods, my friends! I have a sonnet writ!

Premium MemberNaddred 2:

Ravens chew on twigs while deep in thought,
Larks have three dots on their tongue,
Badgers are the keepers of the sacred stories,
Blackbird is the bird of both the gateway and forge.
Cernunnos is lord of the Underworld and wild animals,
Follow the white hind into the mystical forest.
As Tuan had lived as a stag, an eagle, and salmon,
Where the Tuatha de Danaan were the faery gods,
Living on Emerald Isle as the Sidhe, (shee)
Twenty trees are the number of the secreted Ogham,
And the wrens nest is the Druid's nest.
We priests must walk in both worlds,
In the world of form, and of force.
Awen to all... /|\
