Optimist

October takes us from autumn to winter
One should do offering observable oblation
Obtaining kind treatment and hand to people
Obviating greed negative demeanor or offensive
Obviously it is the right path and good ways
One-way time goes on no return to past
Often many people waste their time

Premium MemberObviating need to forgive

first stirred expectation, then denial
shroud of negativity, a dark cloud
betrayed we reacted, soul contracted
shattered was our heart that once stood so proud

feeling alone, despondent and forlorn
as chance had it, we were stung by a bee
this happenstance was divine grace of course
for through searing pain, clear truth we could see

in the case of the bee, no angst arose
for though it hurt us, it knew no better
so accepting the bee, just as it was
our heart felt not that it was our debtor

now, if the bee is placed in human form
its appearance will change but not instinct
so the flaw is in us, the way we look
our ego not yet with love and light inked

conjuring a script of expectations
deluded ego dwells in the shallows
know oh hermit, if we indulge therein
sorrow will lead our soul to the gallows

accepting all as of evolution
we embrace and release, as does the breeze
head and heart entwined, there’s no confusion
equal in joy and pain, flowing with ease

ignorance causes sin
so there is no shame
all then that is needed
is to repay debts of love

accepting all as they are
we feel no sense of hurt
obviating need to forgive
in time all hearts entwine

Reveal pure heart, our fears conceal
Else forgo love and light
Ego bound by the karmic wheel
Knowing not wrong from right

Flowing in bubbling mirth
Meek will inherit earth
Obviating rebirth

Premium MemberHesitation

Hesitation has two colourations
First being our ego calculation
The other, cessation in wonderment
Delight of our childlike astonishment
Former contraction, latter expansion

Let time stretched stillness be meditation
Far cry from ego borne agitation
Choose! Foolish sentiment or contentment
Hesitation

Resonation with the love pulsation
As ever present orientation
Joy current, as our native element
Our rapturous being, luminescent
Obviating the need for negation

Premium MemberRashomon Effect

Rashomon effect, birthing confusion
Spawning divergent interpretations
Each stage actor, being far from perfect
Narrates storyline, riddled with defect
Swollen egos, dwelling in delusion

Feel good factor, self aggrandization
Leading not to truth realisation
Self hypnosis, that we may gain respect
Rashomon effect

Clear light dawns in the void of cessation
Spherical vision in meditation
Our blissful, fearless presence, stance erect
Disallows lower mind to interject
Obviating need for truth translation
Rashomon effect

With Sushumna ignited
In bliss throes delighted
As we come undone
No doing need be done
And yet
Lest we forget
As we feel ecstasy within
We recognise need to re-begin
Obviating need of form to feel
The elixirous bliss appeal
Ceasing to resist
As a bliss mist
We vaporise layer by layer
Divine connect our sole prayer
Moment to moment
The rising bliss quotient
We imbibe & assimilate
In stillness sedate

As consciousnesses expands
We begin to understand

An Oceanless Beach

What is it to see
but never emerge from the dark?

Children marvel at color,
movement,
perception,
not knowing
control mongers await them,
famished gluttons who relish
adults obviating consciousness.

Some risk pain,
while too few discover
healing is not a poultice
to cover a wound,
but an eardrum,
an eyelid
to remedy contrived storms,
blasts of empty oxygen
programmed to destroy
observation's eloquent gift,
the always present
sense of truth,
or not.

Risk awaits…

Perhaps muddied,
but nevertheless
always at the ready,
actuality's hardened muscles
ready to serve,
to discern platitudes from profundity.

How courageous
this willingness to risk,
knowing to cower
is to embrace that safe place,
ignorance's wanton indulgence,
an anesthetized existence
on an oceanless beach,
where colorless tears
become desolate in erosion’s sorrow.

Benin

A mass of grey and rusted silver strewn
By the sky god from sifted appurtenances.
Preserve of ancients jousting with modernity,
Behind edifice a disperse of brimming slums
With piles, heaps of filth, debris, decay and stench;
Congestion and the jostle for ends and gains.

Benin endowed with neo wiles obviating tradition
And irked for now-now pleasure and wealth
Imitating and striving for wannabes
Inculcating habit and aspiring for a world without the sun
Yet far from assimilating it by the words of the old:
Carrot does not sprout in the root of a yam stalk.

Old city, once enliven by aestheticism
And renowned by the arts and crafts of bronze now
At the backdrop with every frontlines bedecked
By remnants of exotic necessaries. Men, vehicles rush,
Scramble and stream Ringroad and Ramat
From dawn to dusk to the abyss of nowhere
And returning home at last to the euphoric solace
Of the mellow hit of Waifo highlife
And the scores of green, brown bottles that thrive.

Benin, where once the Portuguese trespassed,
The Dutch men trampled and the British overturned
Leaving behind their long evening shadows
A new self-image chained in the heart.

The Drunken Elements

The midnight sea,
Seeps through me,
Departing me from melancholy.

Into thy branches of blissful breeze,
Within a ray of sunshine enclosing;
thee by sensual Symphony.

Beneath thine silver chest-nut tree,
Amongst thine swirling dwellers,
In a womb thy heavens did bring,
With a scent as swell as thy presence meet.

Obviating the seizure, letting me free;
From spells and all atrocious dreams.

Endorsing my soul with thine sip of oenomel,
Plunging into thine boulevard of tainted sheets,
Caressing me, into a deep divine gentle sleep..

Role Reversal

If teachers were students,
They would certainly be prudent.

When they would get a teacher free class,
They would certainly be seriously studious.

None to dictate and lecture the class,
Would let them hit the books obviating usual fuss.

If their freedom limit is even infinite,
Classroom is “Pin drop silence”, that’s definite!

Even when Half Yearly is finished,
Their wish for studying wouldn’t be diminished.

Trousers from the waist, head with oil base,
Big spectacles covering the whole face;

Would they miss a single instruction?
Even a single note because of the Annual Function!

If they committed a mistake, though once in a blue moon;
Even imagining doing it again would make them swoon.

But if we go deep down these perfect souls,
Down their memory lane, there must be some hole.

Now let’s come back to the tangible world,
Where the real students are completely unfurled;

Let’s hope the above conditions be true
Otherwise how can we show what we can do?

Wishes are wishes, “sky is sunny blue”
Could you suggest how to put it through?
