Peace is not just the absence of war
Peace is the noblest goal to work for
Peace between mother and father, sister and brother
Peace between friends and strangers, and all the others
***********
Consider Aaron, the High Priest of Old
Who brought enemies together, so bold
To love peace, to pursue it, was Aaron's creed
Love of his fellow man, his greatest deed
He was Moses' older brother, yet humble, down-to-earth
His burning quest for peace the measure of his worth

Peace needs step aside for Truth, some say
I say, True Peace ~ for Truth lights the way
AMERICA'S NOBLEST MOTIVE
"The noble man makes noble plans, and by noble deeds he stands" Isaiah 32:8
Decoration Day, declared,
For homes and everywhere.
Flags and flowers now in vogue,
Want us to be aware.
Battles rage, war goes on,
When will it cease?
Americans died in uniform,
Remember our own, please.
Memorial Day it now is called,
Our heroes names we read.
The sound of Taps, a mother's tears,
A sorrowing time indeed.
June 14th comes along,
Our flag to honor true.
For those colors many bled and died,
The red, the white and the blue.
Soon now, we do it again,
Independence Day is nigh.
Freedom bought with lives,
Raise the flag up high.
In November we honor Veternas,
All are heroes now.
Every gender, race, religion,
To you we humbly bow.
Are four days in a year enough,
Their service to recall?
Parents, families and friends,
Will kneel and praise them all.
Lord we give them back to you,
Your Promise to fulfill.
Thank you for sharing them here on earth,
We miss them still.

James 3: 12 and Proverbs 15:1 have been paraphrased here in the following
poem. You are invited, dear reader, to kindly read those Bible verses before or
after reading this poem.
Teaching might be the noblest career;
But it has its dangers, in its rear.
Saint James warned us about this great trend,
That we might not fall before and bend
To worship some regretful mistake.
“How can the same source of water take
Pure sweet water and make it bitter? ”
In slanders every single letter
Causes the fire of hatred to grow;
But a kind answer frees and lets go!
For teaching is the noblest career;
But it has its danger, in its rear.
