beyond me, another poem
fluctuating earring
out of style
has to buy me
playing missing nightstands
till the songs pass us goodnights
circling memories up stairs
swimming in stands
never giving up floors
she's tangled twice
he'd paint her nervous twang
beginnings in shorts
dancing cornered
steady gone, one more block
come with her, next time

Quote By: Nat King Cole, "You call it madness but I call it love "
A whisper of dreams landing on my pillow
arriving on the nightstands of amber afterglows
surrender to me and we'll take it nice and slow
gazing softly in each others eyes, by candle glow
A whisper of dreams soaring like two eagles
we will match our wings of glory to the seagulls
then fly towards the moon with passion's equal
in sotto voce voices, gleaned and culled
A whisper of dreams stitched by mere desire
with every longing quenched we will retire
to the mountain top where stars suspire
extracting from the sky an Angel's fire
Burning every bridge we'll swivel up forever,
like two matching weightless, downy feathers.

LOVESONG TO AN ALASKAN FISHERMAN
If tame you want
Tis fool you’ll get
In fishing North high seas
But if you go a trolling
And you catch a fish like me
Prepare for love ---prepare for war
There’s not a moment’s peace
And you’ll forget flushed one nightstands
And follow schooling breeze
Oh-- I had loved you mighty
Knocked the pluck right from your chest
Gave you babes and warmed your nights
And wove your babes a nest
And fool you were to throw back in
A love that topped them all
But one last chance awaits you here
To heed bold Nature’s call
So head inland and fight the gales
That plague this stormy sea
Think of love that grabs your guts---
There is no fish like me.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
If tame you want
'Tis fools you’ll get
While fishing in Life's sea
But if you go a trolling
You may catch a fish like me
Cast out your line-- prepare for war--
There’s not a moment’s peace
And you'll forget your one nightstands
Heart grabs the tradewind breeze
Oh I had loved you mighty
Knocked the pluck right from your sails
Gave you babes and warmed your nights
And handled your details--
And fool you were to throw it back --
A love that topped them all
But one last chance awaits you here
To heed the siren's call
So swim upstream and fight the gales
That plague the stormy sea
Think of my love that grabs your guts---
There is no fish like me
