Premium MemberWith The Sun On Your Face

With the sun on your face
And a shade in your smile
Won’t you come to my place
Have a rest for a while
Tell me your latest news
Through the sun and the rain
We’ve got nothing to lose
Almost nothing to gain
With the sun on your face
Like it was on that day
Come again to my place
Say whatever you may
I will listen in awe
I will kiss that sweet air
You will say goodnight love
I shall always take care..

Needles of sleep still in my eye
Indigo dreams push, pass me by
Given the fullest bladder from hades
Have to run to the toilet makes a crazy
Teal thoughts of poetic bliss

Onyx night sky I’d be scared to remiss
Whites of my eyes turning red
Lovelies goodnight going back to bed

Time to visit onyx dreamland
Inspired by the chocolate sandman

I look forward to a raspberry rest
Was tired three poems ago at best

Premium MemberSay Goodnight

Don't forget to say goodnight
'Cause when you do my world seems right
For though the bed bugs may not bite
Without it I just won't sleep tight

A nice long trip to dreamland waits
And your goodnight unlocks the gates
Of all the dreams it generates
Big snowstorms are my favorites

Premium MemberSorry, no! I don't want to go gentle into that good night

Sorry, no! I don't want to go gentle into that good night!
I'm not up for a long, unendurable, end-of-life fight.
When it's my time, I'll opt for a quick, euthanistic squirt,
so I'll feel only a tiny pin prick of hurt,
as my eyes bid a gentle goodnight ~ to the dying of the light.

Premium MemberComing of Night

No one ever looks for the coming of night.
We remain too absorbed in positivity.
Not until it is too late for flight,
When the darkness is upon us, we finally see.

I should begin to wonder where all that light went,
But I find I am still amongst a silver sky.
The rain begins to fall and I am spent,
No word to explain how hard I cry.

Forced to watch the ground from where I fell -
Tears streaming as I descend from light,
With this final kiss I bid you, "Farewell."
As I disappear into the dark, "Goodnight."

Premium MemberGood Morning And Goodnight

Why are the two words in goodnight very close together
And in good morning the words are separated from each other:
Simply because by bedtime we are cuddling together.

Mr Sandman is calling my name
Blew slumber powder on my brain
What lies ahead for me in sleep
Hoping for peace and happy dreams

Good night poets one and all
Hope you dream big and tall
Or if your time to be awake is now
Hope your hearts desire is found

Premium MemberThe Curlews Flight

The Curlews flight.
Means it’s goodnight.
The dark, cool air.
I hear you up there.

The Curlews flight.
Passage through the night.
Their place to roost.
Safe as my little hoose!

The Curlews flight.
Signals it is goodnight.
The beautiful sound in the air.
Invisible in the night time glare.

The Curlews flight.
I can only wish goodnight.
To the people and wildlife out there.
Who, like me heard the sound in the air.

Premium MemberGoodnight Kisses

     At the tail-end of a drawn-out day, I feel
the gentle arms of Morpheus enfolding me.
I have not one but two
soft cheeks to kiss goodnight, first,
             my sleepy doe-eyed baby, then...
the big one clutching the little; my better half.

Premium MemberFirefly

Fireflies in night, so bright,
Frolicking 'neath moon's light,
Favorite eyes, goodnight,
Fireflies humming at lamps,
Fireflies' soft lullaby,
Fairyland's call, don't cry,
Fireflies guard you all night.

Premium MemberIt Happened On a Rainy Night-Collaboration

Foggy mists engulfed the bright
When raindrops fell throughout the night
The lampposts glowed at midnights dark
When sweethearts kissed at Lover's Park
A kiss that did not last
Our lips said goodnight way too fast
Raindrops fell down on your beautiful face
Please just one more warm embrace
