a trillion petals magnetise my tender Heart
racing past farm workers in morning dew
Sun embellishes yellow song
crazed by mesmerising muse
saffron they slap an early chill gold
seeds swallow empty hopes sold

I focus on the image
of a stunning woman’s pose
against a hue-tinged skyline
canvas so mesmerising
in its otherworldly scope
that dream mirror brochure lure
dashed by thunderstorms and rain

l saw her by the edge of the burnt mossy wall
and she was watching high above, over forests so tall
then as the dusk gathered starlings, that danced in the melting sun
it was the breathless display, and mesmerising begun
in the last Autumn rays, that painted threads through the trees
like the strands in her hair that stroked again in the breeze
and their dance was perfection as she watched murmuration
and their velvet display was their beautiful creation
gently the stars said hello, as the white moon glimpsed below
and her slowly wrapped dreams, she sent of her kisses he'd know
and they went drifting slow like the gossamer clouds
and her love for him soft, like the starling, a glow
still her eyes searched afar, over the bracken filled glens
as she looked for his face and his smile and his arms to embrace
and never gave up hope, as she waited each night
and she watched starlings call , over mossy green wall
the dance of the starlings is a sight to behold
like a true love is precious , more precious
than gold.

As the ethereal guitar mesmerises
My soul responds
As if I dipped into a melodic bath
Of perfectly curated
Lovingly tempered
Heart massaging
Candle flickering
Water
A fragrant tune invades
My nostrils
Flaring as the warm
Moistened air tumbles by
The world merges into
Perfection
Harmony
Stirring
The resonance
Of childhood memory
Percolating through the mist
As sliding strings
Caress my ears
My mind drifting
Towards that past
Safer place
Yet this mesmerising medication
This tuneful tumult quelling
Perfect prescription
Is deeply welcome
Somewhere in my gut
My true being
Soothed as we surrender
To this soulful sabbath
May you never grow old
At the joyful table
Where your soul dines
Hear the whispers
Of the small pleasures
Taste the fermented flavours
Of the ordinary delights
Using all your available senses
When the music plays
To transport you
Run to catch the moment
Soak in the vapour
Embibe the elixir
Breathe it all in deeply
Holding in gratitude
Each heavenly moment

For her it was a quiet act of rebellion
To the world it was just a girl dancing
The smile on her face magnetic
The way she swung her hips mesmerising
Her rhythm hypnotising
She was proud of herself for letting go
Of choosing her freedom
Instead of being trapped in a room full of her own demons
Instead of wallowing in her sadness
She danced in joy
Celebrating a part of herself She had hidden
She celebrated her blackness
She was the epitome of beauty
Not just her looks but her beauty within
To anyone who'd ever be so lucky
To witness her glory
Would be enchanted by her smile
The type that reaches her eyes
They way the sun danced on her skin
Sprinkling a glow so golden
Like a sunflower In the garden
This intimate act of self care
Was a moment so special
It will forever be embedded
In her head
The day she decided
This joy She would never forget
And as she danced away
She promised to not let regret
Keep her hostage in the past
But to soak up every moment if happiness
And to live in the present

The Monologue of Saul
(A lone voice whispers)
Have you ever wondered if your soul is just mirrored reflections
Fragmented shards of an augmented reality
A divine kaleidoscope of your own perceived ideas
Of what to do to get to your version of heaven, and how to avoid hell?
Overlaid onto a real-world environment
Are you too logical to ever really understand, but just bravely parading around like another human being
Locked into a social engineer's dream
Trying to live within, and under its dark magical, mesmerising spell
Hypnotized by whatever is subliminally repeated, on your handheld screens
Slowly waiting unconsciously, before it's too late for spiritual understanding
To return to just you
To truly see there's more to life than chasing paper dreams
Before you catch the last bus, to take you home to atone
In The Great In-Between
Where you'll be asked
Did you live a life clean life or did something happen, that was unforeseen
That caused you to live temporarily, unclean

The Great Halls of Eden
(A lone voice whispers)
Walking in like the Grand Inquisitor
Tomás de Torquemada
Dressed in a dark robe
With Beethoven's “Moonlight Sonata” playing loudly in her wake
I can remember when Love brought me through a gate
To a doorway leading to her Three Castles of Rejection
Cruelty
Intolerance, and Fanaticism
And when she nearly broke me within each of those walls, she introduced me to her other Three Castles of Seduction
Through another darkly lit doorway
Ecstasy
Blissfulness and Tranquility
Such is the juxtaposition of entering her Great Halls of Eden
For those Red coloured doors within that painted room, could lead you to your sweet salvation or doom
So just be careful when you smell her sweet perfume, when she smiles, as she approaches
For once, she takes you into her Great Halls of Eden
Once you enter that oak panelled waiting room
Always remember
One day, you could be in her master bedroom
And then one day, feel the harsh bristles of her witches broom
As you soul pleads and yells
Such is the power of being under her mesmerising spell

"Boron in its crystalline carbon structure, I am glad to be!"
Mesmerising whispers of silence..
Settle down quietly below the fire.
Bolstering support of silence..
Upholding pristine unalloyed promise.
Learnings and lessons of silence..
Carving a rock into the star.
The sturdy clutch of the silence..
Embracing the most promising touch.
Silent steps of the silence…
Galloping along proudly through the stride.
Glittering candor of the silence..
Gliding together forever thru the stars
Silent attempts of the silence..
Gracefully bowed and proudly vowed!

As you paint your songs with colours divine
And words you so assiduously mined
You leave me standing breathlessly behind
Your visceral emotion hypnotically opined.
Mesmerising destructive bewitching my soul
Wreckingly angelic your voice takes its toll
And leaves me in wonder at feelings you extoll
And tears into pieces the form that once was whole
Just wrap me in your exquisite tones tonight...

I've been listening to your eyes
Day and night
When will you ever be out of my sight?
Your hidden presence makes me wanna cry
What is simpler than just staring at the sky?
I've been listening to your eyes
For a matter of time
To be wondering for a while were all these lies?
When will it be finally my time to climb?
I've been listening to your eyes
But I fear it's my turn to speak
Not by voice, yet let my one and only heart tend to leak
So many words and emotions hoping to pour
I need to find a suitable cure
For how it feels and the burden to hold
What would've happened if I had told?
And to listen to my heart
From the very start
Would the situations actually differ?
Will it then flow like the uncontrolled river?
I've been listening to your eyes
But what about mine?
When you stare at my eyes don't you think
" What's the hidden truth do these mesmerising eyes could ever hide?"
However, it doesn't seem to shine

(An inquisitive voice whispers)
Do you too like reading to escape for a few hours
Through poetry's heavily laden chest
Containing shiny jewels of such priceless wonders and visual experiences
Waiting for eager minds to run through like the Greek goddess of running
Atalanta
Tempting inquisitive eyes to wait in line
To be hypnotised forever
by enchanted words
Cast within imaginations thunder
To then hold minds
In primordial bondage
Caught and captured in gilded written cages
In lucid imagery flowing through the pages
To then be captivated for a few hours by written spells to beguile
Through ethereal carefully crafted citadels
Surrounded with such hypnotic wonders
Could that be why you love poetry
And books like a heavily laden chest
Filled with mesmerising dreamscapes
To always fill you with joy and wonder
So my question for you
Readers of old and readers of new
Who’s your favourite author or poet
Who always takes you under

We once danced like the glowing Lampyridae
Bathing in the molten heat of a new fire
While walking hand in hand
Down loves panoramic highways
Flames of belonging and such sensuous fire
Lit and consumed our aura's
But when the winter of our love season arrived
With the familiar sound of jingle bells
Announcing our Oak wedding anniversary
On that particular sunrise
On December the fifth
That mesmerising spell broke like the mythical Sword of Elendil
And my world
Shattered
So blue is my new season watching the midnight Lampyridae dance
Alone
In the silvery moonlight
Like a young Gene Kelly and Rita Hayworth
As we once did
While my life slowly drifts
South
After I lost you
My world and the only thing that once mattered
Wandering lost in my mind's so many labyrinths filled with our hieroglyphs
As I stand alone on
Death's high cliff
When I remember that first time we met
On that beautiful night
When our souls were ordained by God's light

There are so many things I am mad about.
Take sunrise with red clouds and soft rays
Penetrating through the water-laden clouds.
Rain is imminent, thunder threatening afar.
It matters not, for I love to stay cosy indoors.
Soon, it will rain, and with impulsive haste, I’ll
Sit at my beloved baby grand and play
A few tentative light-hearted arpeggios
Followed by a mesmerising, uplifting allegro
But never finish with some sad dirge.
By noon, the weather clears into a soft breeze
And I proceed to have a meal made up
Of my favourite shellfish and rigatoni
With shredded truffles and a glass of chilled Chablis.
From that terrace, I could see the turbulent sea,
Its waves roll nonchalantly towards the shore,
Rising and falling, always transient
And showering us with a froth of salty spray,
A sweet caress that tastes so pleasant on my lips.
There are so many things that give me pleasure and satisfaction.
And you, Madam? I still remember your sensitivity.
Your glossy lips met mine: It was the best thing I loved.
