Big smiles, big hair, breasts and heels
All designed to suck you in.
Hook us good then reel us in
For their Catch of the Day
Served up fresh battered and fried with chips.
And still the distant voices echo,
“Kill ugly radio”, “Kill your television”
To the plugged-in masses
Sharing their memes,
Endlessly scrolling their lives away.
What big teeth you have Grandmother.
Yes, but don’t you worry my child,
They only look so big

From infants, to grandparents, why are we
all invisible to your peepers?
Nobody from DC ever comes flying for photo-ops,
We just keep voting them in office, for hundreds
of years?
But let a human die, not of my color?
Pictures all over the media and newspaper
covers!
Our skin may be dark, but we eat, talk
walk and have families, too.
We are Americans just like you.
Our hearts beat the same as yours, my sister and brother.
We are God’s children too, and are the same color inside
As yours, not any other!
I thought we we were an equal part of humanity.
To dismiss us, is sheer depravity!
The great liberal media is outspoken for us.
Except~when we are killed, we are ignored…
Like a piece of meaningless dust!

The end of the world news depresses me
the end of the world new
depresses me
makes me want to shout and scream
STFU leave me alone
to deal with my grief
amid the death and destruction
watching CNNMSNBCFOXBBC media nonstop
filled with essential dread
the end of the world is upon us
from the screaming news media
spreading forth across the land
fake news screams the president
all is alright he proclaims
no one believes his 16,000 lies
and so it goes
we are drowning with information
coming at us so fast
and furious
When will it end my friend
is anyone’s guess
in the long run we are dead

The images that we see today are from our own viewing
Not knowing the effects that we show
Come old or young we are all based on the wealthy
Views the show TV … beam me up Scotty take me away
Take me to a place were TV shows us what we wanna her
But we should not endear
This is their world not our day to day
Read beatify magazines they will only make you feel ugly
Skinny the thing to be, hay American high school that’s the place to be
