I Spell a Cat - Picture Prompt

The life of a magicians cat is dread
Especially when old spells are misread
He magicked a canary
But alas, O'contrary
I ended up in the darn cage instead

The Widdershins

Leftward went his stride, counter to the sun he strode.
They said he was magicked hence by the fairies
or was a mechanical manikin
witched up from a pot of spells.

Old widdershins had a stove pipe hat
and his clothes were plucked from a crow
he was a longshanks, and wicker-boned,
when he circled a church counterclockwise
old wives muttered about the ‘devils work’
but he was just crook-legged and addled.

Queen Mab midwife of the odd and less ordinary
made him from willow cane and burnt straw
and when he circled the wrong way all day
it was only to stabilize the penny-farthings
that roamed around country churches back when.

The land, despite dire warnings,
did not lose itself in a maze of sorrows,
for all was an enchanted misdirection
a hocus-pocus roundabout detour,
a contrary conjecture
that right was always right despite,
and left was just a gauche and a gangly wish.

Premium MemberOlookaylani

Tropical, ocean tides, that flow and seek
Blue sea sparkles resplendent with foam peaks
Soft music strums, magicked the stars delight
To shimmer and wink in the sky, so bright

In to the water, a fisherman falls
Death stalked and beckoned to the coral halls
Sweet Olookaylani, you came for me
Siren mermaid, sleek, glorious beauty

I muse in you, my love, do you hear me?
Ukulele sounds drift enchantingly
Are you the light that flashes yes, I sea
Sweet Olookaylani, come back for me

Moon glows, bioluminescence, salt sprays
Love longs, warm breezes, blow kisses your way

Unicorn Magic

Why are the bees singing
As from flower to flower go.
Why have they lost their sting?
Only the Unicorn will know
Cos he magicked it so.

Loves to play with the garden,
Watching the daisies dance.
See the water fountain
Jump, twirl and prance
As though in the myriad trance.

The grass is growing curly
As though the roller made it so.
The worm gets up so early
to watch the Unicorn show.
Laughs, when he start to glow.

A Unicorn is a magician without a hat,
never a dull moment thats true.
The children would be ever gobsmacked
Watching to see what you'll do,
Just wish there were two.

In a Heartstone Forest

Beautiful trees
Given to a castle
Timber
Magicked by Faeries
Doors and eaves
Alive with thoughts
Of Whispering Trees

A Heartstone tree
So special
To give its' self
In so many ways
For you to see

In forests, so magical
Beautiful trees
Grow
Scented bark
Golden leaves
Live in your heart so

A walk amongst the trees
Leaves rustle
Trees, whisper
Small creatures, bustle

To walk hand in hand
With you
Amongst the trees
I feel so much love too

There is no season
For all have their special beauty
Winter, crowned a tree in snow
Spring, the softest budding green
Summer, clothed in full leaf
Autumn, in its' dying splendour

All the changes
You could see
You saw it all
With me

The Coming of the Wraith King

Winter came
Crackling frost
The snow fell steadily
It was unusually bitter
No one felt cold like this before...
What could this mean?
Would there be more?

The Whispering Trees,
felt the biting wind
Boughs broke
Branches cracked
Something was there,
in the cold air

Deepest, bitterest cold
Leaves shattered like glass
Trees shivering
The coming of the Wraith King

Knights defending
Faeries magicked
The Wraiths, defeated before
Now, they have a king

Deepest, bitterest cold
through the land
The Wraiths have a King
A battle in the making

Screeching and wailing
Wraiths flew across the Lands of Mists and Magic
At their head, a king

Trees splintered
Shrubs shattered
The earth split
The bitter cold
Brought by an Ice King

A Castle Rose

The sun clothed the castle in gold
Before twilight
Magic to behold,
in the time before night

Such a colour to inspire...
A rose...
The colour of sunfire

The Faeries at twilight...
To make a rose, so beautiful
It would shine under starlight

Such a delicate bloom
Soft as a babys' cheek
Magicked by Faeries
A Summer Queens' perfume
A rose to seek

Emerald leaves glowed
Wrapped a rose
The colour of sunfire
In a walled garden,
that the Faeries showed

The Sunfire
Such wondrous light
A Faeries desire
Illuminated the garden
To Heartstones delight
