The last spring

Today before the daylight is done for the day
My aspiration will reach my abode of longing, this may–
   For once, this time
All the blossoming buds in flora and fauna, springtime zeal
Traveler there to get those together, we two shall prevail
Underneath your lushing green, spring shall be along, periodic
Among these, only one, I, aspire in thy, spared for me.

The daylight sank for long, for so long, in vain
Oblivious, I, was tossing in parables, then
A sudden gaze, your wandering eyes
Daylight dimmed as twilight hue sufficed
There is not much time left in my hand.
And so, I was counting them, one by one, likewise a meager mind
Uncomfortable, uneasy are all these springtime musing clues, to reprimand.

Zainul is coming in my dream, throughout a sleepy day!

The art gallery and the city of Mymensingh, a precious memory
Where a river bent, a balcony view, the Brahmaputra, Brahma's Putra!
where a narrow lane, every afternoon, and lushing colors too! they say,
Eucalyptus tree, and her thick and thin, a cinnamon and then, today!

Life never knew visa and H and other kind, letterhead, then,
Pencils and of different shades these are, and a terracotta vase and a garden.
If you shiver there, today, still it is nothing of that big one, an uneven texture.
  though!
a little fist, and a gentle stroke on a little palm, and an eternal bliss
a carved and a curvature, where time decided before any more succinct,
 Recess!

Dissociative Identity Disorder

I have a friend,
A friend that I never knew off
Not until he showed his face on the mirror
And he talked to me

"Tell me what's your deepest fear
Is it knowing that you have no control
Or that I'm the one in control
And you just the vessel to pass my message

Tell me why do you hold back
Instead of lushing out at your adversaries
I could, but why would I fight your battles
You the one who needs to stand up for yourself

How do you let them call you crazy
While this is just a disorder
Why let them look you with those eyes
As if they're better than you

Stop smiling, you not okay
Show them you also feel
Feel when they talk behind your back
You feel when you not included

I'll leave you with that for now
Cause I've already taken you hostage
Keeping you here looking at me
And how composed I am"

Then the friend would disappear
Before I told him bye
But he doesn't look like one for byes
Cause he seems so sure to come back

Starry Sky

The stars are looking at us happily
While crickets confessing their true feeling
A type of serene likes the wind
Travelling between the heaven and the earth
I witnessed the miracle happening

When your tears are crossing my land
Alike sweet springs
The world is lushing with my dreams

Premium MemberBeautiful Fall

Blazing summer sun shows its mellowed face when
Each dawn it rises with crimson aura of the autumn
Across the sky painted with ribbons of astral colors.
Upturned tips of gleaming grass on verdant meadow
Traps the hues of autumn’s halo in the heart of dew,
Iridescent with the ambient glow of nature’s splendor
Flushing the pathway for the fall to arrive with fervor,
Ushering northern zephyr to ripple through the trees
Luring leaves to burst in color before they fall to freeze.

From the garden gleaming under crystalline azure sky
Aroma of the autumn floats on the wings of butterflies.
Limpid tapestry of ecstasy they weave for me in the air,
Lingering beauty of the fall I take to the barren winter.

A Sin In His Arms

Beside him, tremulous and dazed
he smirked and said
you are voluptuous
in that dark retreat of silence
beside you,
passion poured from lips into mine
the agony of a foolish heart.
a flame in his eyes
A sin in his arms
O Neel! How could I know what I did?
the red wine lushing in the glass
his breath hot and fiery
I sinned in his arms...!

Opening night at the downtown bar ~
   Aficionado of ageless apparel
   Blushing barmaid beauty in blue
   Captivating chatty confidente
   Damsel dabbling in deception

Opulent night at the uptown ballet ~
   Absurd amorous allusions
   Barefoot breathless ballerina
   Charismatic celestial cachet
   Dubious deceitful dissonance

Life and Rain

The weather makes me smile ,
The rain brings me back to life .
The breezy air fills me with desire ,
To be the raindrops and wash away tears .

The pitter -patter of the rain ,
The singing of the koyal behind ,
The lushing green leaves of the trees ,
All are so pleasing to the senses .

The lightening is what I fear ,
Just like a child so immature .
Its like a phobia ,
That doesn't let me sleep or think.

The rains are good ,
But not the thunder .
Its just like life ,
Which has success and failure.

Then comes the Rainbow ,
From behind the clouds.
Clearing the mind ,
Of all the doubts .

We must not forget,
Joys and sorrows are a part of life.
Just as it takes,
Both Sunshine and rain to make a rainbow.

Keep smiling :- )

On a Moonlit Night

peering on the window, water apple leaves
sway with the breeze, dancers of the night
in green veined fingers cast quirky shadows
against the cream-colored concrete walls

beneath them, i turn to the porcelain cup
in my hands, whirling the tinted water of
fresh picked tea leaves now invisible under steam
before lushing up to quench my thirst

i gaze up again and marvel
as succulent water apples
bounce forth and back
from their wellspring
like little children
playing tug-of-war

it's an ingenuous spectacle
of swollen receptacles and
callyces on chlorophyll clothes
woven with corky axillary branches

on a night like this
nature's cellulose creatures
are my gentle reminder
on living alive--
undaunted, free and happy
despite the tribulations of time
