Aren’t words meant to hurt and heal us.
Why do we cry when they hurt?
But feel comforted when they heal.
Is it because of a lesson not learnt?
or we want them to obey how we feel.
Words are just words, innocent on both sides.
while humans enjoy using them footwear slides
To portray love or hate for another,
an enemy, neighbour, relative or a partner.
Humans are more guilty not them words.
Without humans they would remain there
unused as they mean no hate.
yet humans use them to harm.
unused as they mean no love.
but humans use them to speak love.
Why do we hate jiggered words?
But like the ones that make us
to smile, ear to ear, all day
and lure us to whatever one has to say.
Why don’t we hate the people who use.
those jiggered words instead of words?
Why don’t we like the people who use?
those lullabying words along with words.
At the end of the day
Words are just words, waiting to be used, right?
To heal and hurt
To love and hate.

waves lull me to sleep
my eyes drifting and fluttering
but wait didn’t I want to see the twilight?
They open in uninterested slits
the melody of the ocean lullabying me into total relaxation
a joyful reunion with my loved ones who have gone ahead
I wake to the enthusiastic laugh of a toddler.
One of those shrill excited scream shriek laughs.
An unexpected smile parades across my lips.
I am forgetting to grieve now.
It is impossible to be sad here.
I smoosh my fingers into the sand, feeling loved.

In sleep's ocean, in the way a crane wades
In shallow water looking for fish, I dip my pen.
And I write dreams on night's walls: graffiti of love.
Punctuated by your gentle snoring, music of looms
From the hills, weaving embroidery of fireflies,
Embraces my newborn rhyme with ancient arms.
I want to sink my soul deeper, bottomlessly, and
Never to wake up and face mornings corrupted by
Stench of rigor-mortising corpses.
A blast, somewhere in the valley,
Frightens lullabying cicadas, and
My muse wakes up in a battlefield.
And poetry becomes a warrior.

While their tears have been drying,
Mothers to children are lullabying;
World of despair,
Everywhere,
And Trump is lying and denying.

his eyes
tense and brilliant
merged onto mine
his lips buried unto mine
lips are sealed blood bubbled
his hands cusped mine
promising bliss
my breath is held, forgive tongue
tied his tongue
prisoner of love i being
freedom is at your finger tips
use it or lose it
he whispered gently into my
inner ears
and began to stroke me
like a baby lullabying
without words
his heart
tumultuous made me
hang in the uncert-
ainty of time

Imagine tying bed-springs
To your feet
And bouncing up and down the street
Imagine fixing a kite
to your back
and flying up for a cloudy snack
imagine building a rocket ship
full of dials and lights that blip
roaring up into the winking sky
imagine having a mom and dad
to kiss the good and punch the bad
and lullabying a dreamy head
to sleep
imagine that…

Feel me by your side
a candle in the night
a flicker in your dreams
a flame of melodies
Feel me by your side
a candle in the night
On your pillow face to face
cloaked with french black lace
Held by your embrace
Feel me by your side
a candle in the night
My arms beneath your sheets
soft lips kissing your cheeks
Feel me by your side
a candle in the night
my hair brushing your chest
sweet scent lavender's zest
Feel me by your side
a candle in the night
Feel me by your side
lullabying you Goodnight

The dog bit while the bee was humming,
So I removed my shoes and took off my socks
In the slowly melting snow. Under a cool tree,
Cooling mud oozed up between my toes.
Talented fingers strummed a guitar as the park
Darkened. I moved on homeward while the sun
Set without regret. I cleaned my feet and slid
Soothingly into soft socks and sat in an old
Trusted rocking chair and silently rocked while
The black iron kettle warmed some cold stew.
As I lay down later, I heard crickets' legs lullabying.
Stomach was full, it was good the bee didn't sting.
