I've been lonely for so long.
Ever since you left me..
There's nothing left but those memories.
Ever since we said goodbye...
I've been waiting all these lonely nights.
If only my love could ever get through...
I would find my way back to you.
Together in love..yet so far away.
As the night turns into day.
I've been reaching out for you..
Because no one loves you like I do.
I still remember yesterday...
Times just keeps on slipping away.
All these days have passed me by...
Just like faces in the sky.
Somewhere in this heart of mine..
That lonely road I left behind.
Like two drifters ... so far away..
Nothing we do can bring back yesterday.
So now I am letting go..
I am finding my way...down that lonely road.
Behold! The soft, silken snow
waltzing in the white wind
hither and thither.
In his singular splendor,
her forlorn frosted surface
freezes further in awe
and becomes all surreal.
Harken! The wintry whispers
flowing in fragile flakes
hither and thither.
To his ravishing rapture,
her myriad longing limbs
spread to load his love on,
and become all serene.
Behold! The delicate dream
woven in wonderland
hither and thither.
In her aesthetic aura
laid in luxurious light,
he bares his succulent soul
and becomes all beauty.
Harken! The satin secrets
wafting on winsome waves
hither and thither.
To her mellow love lyrics
well-versed in quaint quintessence,
he sprinkles snow petals
and becomes all marvel.
In memories’ grasp, we said our last goodbyes,
A day steeped in sorrow, tears filled our eyes.
Amidst the city’s maze, my heart lost its way,
A vessel adrift, in disarray, I would sway.
No purpose, no path, just a soul undone,
Reflecting upon the scorching heat, I’d shun.
Then, like a savior, a cloud pure and bright,
A pale white guardian, shielding from the sunlight.
It traversed the miles, braving the burning dome,
Seeking relief, as my tears welled, it roamed.
For a fleeting moment, it lingered, so kind,
A gentle companion, relief I’d find.
But gravity’s grasp tugged, it fell to the ground,
Splintered into droplets, scattered all around.
Now, when a lone cloud drifts through the air,
I sense its yearning, its longing, its silent despair.
It searches for hearts shattered and torn,
Offering shadow until the clouds are reborn.
Transient like love, passing through the sky,
Its healing touch fleeting, bidding hearts goodbye.
Yet, still, I gaze upon those clouds with a tear,
Hoping they’ll mend my shattered heart, draw near.
In their gentle embrace, my pain they’ll erase,
These lonely clouds, with their healing grace.

Nor bosom smitten,
Where conflict harms
Once shy, twice bitten,
A virgin riled
Soon does goad
The wrath of a child
As cannons reload.
Hidden in history,
A languid heart,
Conflicts in mystery
As lover's depart,
Two hearts betwixt
With regrets intrusion,
Midst stones and sticks
The finale, an illusion.
Not lovelorn rage
Nor wailing wenches
Can pay death's wage
In silenced trenches,
A king's shilling,
A christmas box
'tis woefully willing,
Unspent, since lost.

Nor smiling song,
In peace war mimicks
A poppies throng,
Medals for the brave
Sway too grim,
Lacklustre to the grave
Eyes flutter dim.
Impoverished souls
Forlorn and lost,
In bullet holes
Shall count the cost,
Survivors dwindle
One by one,
Perchance to rekindle
The song of the sun.
No loves missed
Nor heroes unsung
For widows kissed
And tyrants hung,
A dead man's shame
Is no greater loss
Than the unknown name
On yet another cross.
I think of you ... when I hear music
Whilst play..ing .....our special song
The tears I shed are no deny...ing ......
of the loss ..... inside
I feel you close.....your kisses haunt me
I Love you so, ......why did u go
You said goodbye with teardrops falling
Whispering that you don't want ... to leave me ...leave me so
I wait for letters, saying .... that u miss me
your calls to hear you say my name
Come spring we'll be ... together
Ne'er ...to part ..... to part again
I bite my lips to stop from crying
from shouting .....out .....your name
I write each day to you my darling
